Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250Customer Review: Easy, comfy, good sound Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this to use with Skype. Configured easily by Vista, XP, win2K, lin SuSE. Sound is clear. I compared it with the newer version 350 and did not see any difference in sound. 350 has a thicker over the head bow (may be stronger?). Yet, my 250 is used by no children and it cost me about 60% of what I paid for 350. Also, I found that the microphone is on the right on 250 and on the left in 350 - (if it comes in right and left versions - I do not know, mine happened to be this way). 250 has the USB plug narrow, easily usable in tight proximity with other USB plugs, 350 has it "fatter" than usual...
Considered the price, I chose this product over newer 350, for it works same to me. I did not rate durability anyhow, for I have the headset not for long enough to judge that. I am happy with the product.
Customer Review: Nice headset Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a newbie to using this type of headset (on a PC, as opposed to a single-ear, high-end phone headset), but I found this headset to be very good. The sounds quality is excellent. The mic seems decent, too, and is adjustable a bit from side-to-side as well as up and down. I use this headset for work on a business desktop PC with VOIP apps, mostly, and it's very good for that. I tried it on my newer, multimedia laptop at home that has an add-on higher-end sound card, and I couldn't get it to work in stereo. I figured that just needed some work, though, which I didn't have time for. It's comfortable, and I wear glasses. In all, a nice headset that I would recommend.
Customer Review: Way above my expectations Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my headset from an ebay auction and expected the usual crappy sound quality with a somewhat decent microphone. But to my surprise these headphones have a sound quality that is good enough for composing music (one of my hobbies). Listening to CD's or MP3's on these headphones is outstanding. The bass response is awesome and the sound quality is fantastic.
The headset plugs directly into a USB port on your computer and immediately overrides the speakers, just like when you plug a regular headphone into a portable radio. No special software is needed either. They work great with skype too! (which is my reason for buying them in the first place).
Customer Review: Problem Solved Summary: 5 Stars
This headset solved a major problem for me. Sound is embedded into my motherboard. In order to have 5.1 surround sound, it requires me to plug one speaker into the "mic" jack. This left me with no way to connect a microphone for my internet phone, recording, internet chat..etc. All I had to do was plug this USB Headset 250 into a USB port and I had instant stereo headphones and a microphone.
Also, there are two other family members in the same room with their own computers. This allows me to easily listen to music or watch movies on my computer without bothering them.
I've had it over 1 month and am very pleased with it.
Customer Review: Great, but I needed less... Summary: 5 Stars
This does exactly what it says. USB headset and noise canceling. Plug it in and all works perfect right off the bat.
However, I only use my mic when using Team Speak for online gaming. The problem here is that they cancel TOO much noise! I can't hear the game sounds coming from my 5.1 speaker set up. I get around this by moving the left headphone off my ear. I wish I had simply ordered a single headphone setup like I had with my old PS2 Socom headset. The one I had broke wish caused me to replace it with this one.
But, if it's stereo, usb, noise canceling headphones you're after, these work great.
