Either my wife or I travel on business. It's tough for a week at a time. We used to stay on the phone for hours but that sucks in trying to picture eachother.
I bought two of these $99 Pro cameras and we use Skype with EXCELLENT sound quality. We love it and it's completely free. The only drag is video quality sometimes is not so great with hotel wireless.
Also, use the CD with the product. I tried to be smart and download the latest software which did not work.

Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac arrived. It worked fine for five days and then went dead. I contacted Amazon and made arrangements to send product back and receive new one. The speed by which this was accomplished was even better than they stated. I sent broken product back and new one was in mail before they even got my broken one. Thanks very much.
The QuickCam is set up to watch hummingbirds at a feeder and is so entertaining. The picture is sharp and clear.

I needed a good camera to use with Skype for my Mac Mini OS 10.6.3. There were few for Mac and I wanted a good one so went with the new Logitech Pro (bought at end of June 2010). I plugged it into the usb port, opened up Skype and there I was looking at myself. It works with any program for which you need a webcam. The picture is fantastic and it seems to track me very well if I gesture or move. It also picks up your voice so you do not need a headset.Customer Review: QuickCam Vision Pro

We actually purchased two of these cameras in order to be able to be able to see experience our first grandchild who is in Victoria, BC while we are in the Pasadena, CA area. The image quality (color, spatial resolution and dynamic range) are very good. The plug and play was flawless for the MAC OS10 systems we have installed at both locations. To get started, we are using the Skype service and will explore others as time goes on.Customer Review: I really like this camera!

I really like this camera. I've had a few webcams and this one clearly is the best out of them all.
I just recently had the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema and was pretty disappointed with the image quality (at least on Mac, Windows is fine).
The only thing is I wish there was software, but with iGlasses (iChat plugin), I can tweak a bit.
But as far as picture quality there's non-better!
Buy it!
