Customer Review: Excellent cam, marginal software

I've owned this webcam for over a year now. I can use it on my Mac G4 as easily (if not more easily than) on my Windows PC. I mostly use it with skype and am trying to integrate to use with other IM applications.
My only complaint with this is not so much the camera as the software that came with it.It is Windows based sofware and has given me nothing but trouble since I installed it. When I first installed the software, it wouldn't work. So I had to
go find the downloadable updates. Then they caused problems. Now I'm at a point that even by just opening the software, my computer crashes.
All in all, I'd say, get this camera. It really works good. BUT DO NOT INSTALL THE SOFTWARE!!!!! It does NOT work well. And the support I got from Logitech about these issues was pretty marginal.
So I give the camera 5 stars. I give the software 0 stars
