SO-IF YOU BUY ONE..ASK THE SELLER IF IT'S THE MODEL WITH THE PLASTIC STRIP ON TOP OR NOT..IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER ANYWAY
JUST FOR LOOKS.
I RECOMMEND THIS CAMERA FOR THE GOOD PRICE..AND VERY GOOD QUALITY.
MY MOM HAS ONE AND IT'S GREAT.SHE USES IT WITH SKYPE-WITH NO PROBLEMS..NICE PICTURE AND SOUND QUALITY!

I live in Houston, TX. and I look forward to saying "GOOD MORNING" to my nieces in Canada each morning via the Logitech WebCam. When I purchased the Pro 5000 model for each of them as Christmas gifts, I had no idea how much fun it would be for the little ones to actually SEE my 3 pets and me while we talk! They can't wait to finish breakfast and to get dressed before we chat with each other. This is going to be a gift that we ALLLL can enjoy throughout the year!

I purchased this webcam so I could see my family while I am away at school. I have a sony notebook and needed something that would stay on the screen. Webcams are pretty much the same when you look at frames/second so that was not a determining factor. However, I was drawn to the echo-free audio, the face tracking, the rightlight, and the picture capture that is right on the camera.
This camera is great! It is easy to setup and use. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

I had a webcam from Creative Live before and I have been using this QuickCam Pro 5000 for about a month. I have to say this product from Logitech is way better than my previous camera although I only spent about $10 more on the current one. I did not have any problem using the camera and the trick is that I downloaded the software directly from Logitech website cause I have Vista as my OS.
So enjoy the product as you can cause it will not disappoint you!

We have purchased four of these cameras for various family members and ourselves. Our primary use is for Internet video chat, such as using Skype. And for that it works great. Is the video choppy? Yes, but that could be because of the Internet connection. We haven't done much recording with it so I don't know how video files look. The install was easy, the tools good for walking the novice through setup. For video chat, I highly recommend this product.
