This is our first webcam, so I can't compare it to anything previous. That said, it was easy to install and our contacts tell us the image it sends is great. Price was good, too! The only negative I can think of is that I'm not a fan of the mount; it fits anywhere, but I would prefer that it clip strongly to the monitor, rather than just slide on and sit there. I think this is the perfect webcam for the price. I only use it to communicate w/ my family and friends via Skype and for the price, you can't beat it.
I popped the CD in, and within a few minutes out of the box I was using it without a hitch. I would suggest this webcam to anyone; not only the budget conscious but those seeking a higher-end product as well.

I really like this gadget. It is small but takes great pictures and videos. Sound is also great. It is easy to attach to the computer and also easy to adjust to your position in front of it. I am not computer savvy, but this was very easy to install and use. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the picture can be a little dark, depending on the light in the room (isn't probably that way with all cameras, but this is the only one I've used). When I went to college, I needed a webcam that was Skype compatible, so I could talk to all my friends on my clunker of a laptop. This one works just fine--the quality isn't great, and doesn't have many added features, but was inexpensive enough that I didn't expect those things. Not a bad deal.
