Customer Review: Great headset so far

I was very concerned by other reviews indicating this headset was uncomfortable and/or painful to use. Despite this concern, I proceeded with purchasing it, and I am glad I did! When I first opened the package, I was worried by how bulky it looked. And, admittedly, it was somewhat tight first placing it on my head. So I took others' suggestions and broke it in. It was very simple, I just placed it over my computer tower case for a couple minutes. Since then, I barely feel it on my head.
Audio quality is great, almost too good! I was replacing an old headset I had had for quite some time. I was using vonage to talk to my wife on the new headset and she was complaining that I was very loud. So I turned the microphone volume almost all the way down. With my old headset, I had to have the volume up all the way for other people to hear me.
Installation was also a breeze (with Windows XP). I plugged it in, and it was working within seconds.
Overall, I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this headset.

I am paralyzed, and I have used voice recognition software to control my computer for over 19 years. This is unequivocally the best headset I've ever used for purposes of controlling a computer with voice recognition software. Some of the drawbacks with voice recognition are that they are not durable, they do not play audio clearly, and (most importantly) they do not understand audio commands correctly. This headset has background noise reduction that actually reduces background noise! I can dictate to my computer while people talk, someone washes dishes, and the television is on only a few feet away without much hassle. Voice recognition software scores your audio system when you are training it. How have received the highest quality audio scores during training of this headset, even with background noise, then I have on any other headset I have owned. It is extremely easy to use with the USB port and built-in software. If you are paralyzed, or if you simply used voice recognition software for any reason, I would suggest using this headset!Customer Review: Perfect for my voice-recognition program. I specifically purchased this headset for dictating into my voice recognition program. And I highly recommend that anyone using the Dragon NaturallySpeaking or any other voice recognition dictation program upgrade to a USB unit such as this. The voice recognition is far superior with a USB connection rather than the simple analog plug-in to your sound card. This unit is better than any USB headset I have had before, and I've had many - and at a much better price
Easy, fail proof plug-and-play installation was a snap. When I installed this headset and retested my mic on the Dragon program the recognition was substantially higher! (I'm using it unit now to dictate this review.) This is the way to go -- and at this price you can't go wrong! This is a quality product with an excellent noise canceling mic.

I have four of these, one for each member of my family. Primarily, we use them for listening to DVDs and Internet broadcasts on our computers, as well as for Internet telephony. I even got one for a partner who uses it for speech recognition on his computer. I think they are terrific-high quality audio and an accurate, non-distorted microphone. Although one of them was defective (the volume control did not work correctly), Amazon's response was first-rate. They replaced it with no fuss, muss or bother (or cost, for that matter, since they paid for the UPS pickup). I might still get a smaller set for travel. Also, the cord is a little skinny and so is more prone to damage. But otherwise, a nice unit and a good value.Customer Review: Good Sound Quality, Convenient Volume Control

I needed a headset for audio chat on MSN Messenger and Skype when I realized that my new laptop has no microphone input. I am very pleased with the sound quality of the microphone. The earphone portion of the unit sounds very good when listening to voices on the other end and fairly good when listening to music. In addition, having the volume control right on the cable is very convenient.
The two qualities I enjoy best are:
1) Crisp sound from the microphone, giving me the confidence that whoever hears me on the other end will have high-quality sound; and
2) The main processing chip detects when the incoming signal is monophonic or stereophonic and adapts accordingly.
