Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Premium Notebook HeadsetCustomer Review: Great while it lasted. Summary: 5 Stars
The sound quality of this product was awesome. When talking to people over Skype they could hear me crystal clear and for the most part even when they had a crappy mike I could still hear them fine. The reviews about the rotating mike is what sold me. While playing Alien vs Predator (2010) it scared the hell out of me. One part in it (when playing the Marine in the swamp) they have a noise that gets louder and louder, I was afraid it was going to blow up my ears. The carrying case was great for putting it in my laptop backpack when going to college classes.
All around great product, I found a 1980s portable radio that I thought didn't work and with the extra volume knob on the wire I got it to work. It was only when I decided to use the head phones and my little radio smaller then a pack of cigarettes to mow the lawn with that they stopped working. I don't know if it was because of sweat, or setting them in damp grass, but to my regret they are dead.
I might check out the warranty but I think it's expired. Loved that head set.

Customer Review: Great product! Summary: 5 Stars
I have to say, I have had two of these mics in the past. One broke because of user error (stepping on it usually is bad). I love this headset, not only is if a good deal, but if you don't step on it it will last a long time. I would never pay the 70 dollar retail charge again, buying it on Amazon was a steal and if I broke this one, I would buy it again. I was so happy to learn that it not only works perfectly with Skype, Ventrilo, and Team speak but also it works well on the PS3. The sound is crystal clear through the headset, if not just too quiet on the PS3. On the PC, it works better than I thought it could. I really like the ability to have it any style I want, whether like a traditional headset, on the back of the head, of even around your neck. On the back of head it can start to pinch after a while, but that is because my head is gigantic, coming in at a hat size of 9 (I know, I can't buy normal hats if I want to wear one). I do have to say, for all the pros, there are cons. Like I said, wearing it can pinch and hurt sometimes for long periods. Sometimes I hit the mic button and mute myself. Sometimes I hit the mute button and it doesn't mute the mic! Those aren't deal breakers, I HIGHLY recommend this mic to any gamer and any user who wants a good, sturdy mic. It makes an excellent PS3 mic also.

I love this headset! I did my homework for quite awhile before purchasing a headset and it came down to a larger plantronics set and this one, and though I bought the plantronics pair first (better audio quality), I took them back and replaced them with these and have not looked back. These are lightweight and comfortable, with the headphones adjustable in multiple directions, and the microphone works great. I use these primarily for gaming and everyone tells me my mic works well.
This also comes with a convienent hard shell carrying case that you can thrown into your laptop bag without fear of damaging your headset which is nice, but the best feature is by far the usb to analog adapter. the headphones have your standard stereo plugs (one for for headphones and one for mic)on them like cheaper headsets do, along with an analog volume control(wonderful not to have to change the computer volume), so you can plug them directly into your computer's headphone and mic inputs or into your usb adapter. I love this because you can use it for any mic and any pair of headphones, or speakers, or put a splitter on it for multiple headphones (my girlfriend and I do this frequently), without sacrificing being able to use your usb input for better sound quality, less distortion, less static, etc.
Customer Review: Excellent for VoIP phone calls Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this headset for a few years now and love it. I work mostly from my MacBook Pro, at home and in co-working spaces and coffee shops, and I do a few hours a day worth of conference calls over VoIP. This thing fits great in its case, which in turn fits great into a pocket of my backpack. Sound quality is perfect, and I've never gotten complaints about noise over the mic.
There's an in-line mute switch and volume control, both of which help in noisy coffee shops when someone orders a cappucino - mute for the people on the other end and volume for me.
I've seen other reviews with complaints about comfort, but I've got no such complaint. The earphones are on slides and pivots, which let me settle them nicely on my ears, and the plastic bar behind them doesn't pinch my ears. The foam on the phones is still in perfect condition, so I'm not sure how others have had theirs fall apart. I wear things things for 8-12 hours at a time.
One con might be that the headset seems not to work well when plugged directly into the Mac - but it comes with a USB dongle that's recognized fine by the system.
Customer Review: A crowd pleaser Summary: 5 Stars
In my work I provide support to people around the world. We use Skype extensively. I have this item bookmarked so I can send a link the minute anyone complains about their headset. Once they own this headset, and set it up for use through a USB port, all complaints stop.
I am convinced that the microphone and headphone ports on most laptops are not optimized for full duplex conversation. Consequently, the sound quality in a VOI environment (in that mode) is terrible on every set I have tried including this one. In USB mode, this headset is terrific.
This unit is designed for conversation and travel and exceeds at both. You can find much better headphones if you just want sound quality, but for VOI communication this is the one. I have a desk phone right next to my computer and I use Skype to dial normal phones rather than my desk phone, because no telephone can match the sound quality of this headset. You will love the convenient carry case. I went through three of the cheaper sets before I sprang for this one. They just could not make it through the rigors of travel
