Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Precision GamepadCustomer Review: Great product... Summary: 5 Stars
I replaced 2 old school MS Sidewinders with these (the MS ones that used the gameport connection)... these are GREAT! More responsive, and a great pad for the price. I wish there was a way to daisy chain them like the old sidewinders, but a hub solves that problem. They seem a little small at first, but then mold to your hand nicely. Also, they just plan look cool (like in the pic)... not a cheap looking see-though blue... but a dark/rich blue. You won't be disappointed.
Customer Review: Good Basic Gamepad Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this gamepad for one reason: people seem to have a lot of success with it on Linux. I can attest that is the case (for Ubuntu 6.10 anyway). Penguin Racer and zsnes detect it and work perfectly.
It seems sturdy enough, but I'm fairly delicate with my equipment and I don't do the overhead-controller-smash when gaming goes badly. If you are a serious gamer you'll want a higher-end model, but for a casual game here and there it's perfect.
Customer Review: Excellent value Summary: 5 Stars
I got two of these for my PC. The feel of the buttons and ergonomics are great. The controller responds quickly. It was immediately detected by XP. Did I mention its only $10? It has 10 buttons which makes it highly configurable for games. For instance, let's say if one were to use it to run emulators like MAME, Nesticle, Callus, and Winkawks, I'm sure it would be compatible. That is if someone owned the rights to use the games, it would rock.
Customer Review: Simple item at just the right price Summary: 5 Stars
The unit is fairly well made. It doesn't feel as good as $50+ controllers, but it is solid enough for my use and the price was just right from Amazon.com.
It is detected right away by both Vista and XP and works right on the money on MAME and other emulators. Plenty of buttons for use and solid feel to press on all the buttons.
If you want a basic controller gamepad for simple home use with emulators, this is as good as it gets.
Customer Review: awesome Summary: 5 Stars
i bought 3 of these; one for me and two for two of my friends. each one works great. The buttons are perfectly responsive and the D pad feels very similar to the old Nintendo/SuperNES/Sega controllers. Perfect controller for emulators. The only problem so far is that I cannot get it to work on any Mac emulators. I'm sure that this isn't a problem with the controller though. Anybody know how to make it work on a Mac??
