Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Precision GamepadCustomer Review: Wonderful little gamepad Summary: 5 Stars
It's been reiterated many times before for this product, but it really is an exceptional fit for emulation. I have 8 or 9 of this gamepad scattered around the house and hooked up to various computers for MAME or a little Super Mario Kart. I've not had a single one go bad - even had my rat gnaw on the cord of one of them, taped it up with duct tape and it still works just fine. Its durable nature, perfect button layout (believe it or not, muscle memory is a factor in fast-twitch gaming) and inexpensive cost makes this Precision Gamepad a win...if you can find any for sale any more.
Customer Review: Wal-Mart price without the evil ! Summary: 5 Stars
This game pad is VERY cheap, I only paid $10 for this and received it in brand new condition. This being said, it is a fantastic pad for emulator use on the PC. I'm an old school gamer and my favorite part about this pad is that it doesn't have those stupid analog sticks that have contributed to the ruin of console gaming. If you're looking for a quality controller and don't have a need for analog stick thingies, then buy this pad. You've probably wasted $10 on worse things like Navy Seals on DVD or a Viagra pill. Stop reading this and just buy it!
Customer Review: K.I.S.S. or Keep it simple stupid Summary: 5 Stars
What can be said about this product other than it works, and it needs no driver disk. You can plug it in and be playing with it in the time it takes your emulator of choice to boot up. I've used it for NES, SNES, GENESIS, MAME, and it performs beautifully every time. THIS is the penultimate controller to get before you go analog stick. It does everything it's supposed to and it is easy to use, what else do you want? For it to serve chilled vodka shots? Well it doesn't, because it's a game controller, silly. That would be awesome though . . .
Customer Review: Great Price, Works Well Summary: 5 Stars
Plugged in and no problems (with XP). Controller doesn't feel quite as heavy as regular console controllers so in that way it feels a little cheaper, but other than that it's got pretty much the same feel as a PS1 controller. We use it for NES, SNES, Atari, PS1 and N64 emulators. The only problem is with N64 games because the N64 controller has so many buttons, but a lot of them aren't used anyway so you just have to play around with the configuration to use the ones you want. Also, the price for these is great.
Customer Review: An excellent gamepad for the money... Summary: 5 Stars
I admit when I first picked up the gamepad I really believed that it was cheaply made and that it wouldn't last if it really worked at all. Boy, am I surprised! Not only was the controller inexpensive but it is definitely a quality accessory.
I'm using the controller to play Fifa 06 and the control is tight and responsive and it is really adding to my gameplay experience. If vibration and analog sticks aren't wanted or required by your PC gaming, you cannot do better than this pad. Highly recommended!
