Customer Review: Great mouse, but ANTOnline is awful
Summary: 5 Stars

I really like this mouse. But if the only available vendor to fulfill the order is ANTOnline, I strongly recommend you purchase it elsewhere.

Once my order was placed, I was unable to track it. The mouse I ordered is supposed to arrive between July 16 and July 21. I sent an email on the 19th asking why I could not track the product and when I could expect the package. I received what was obviously a form letter with a cheesy diagram of the flow of a package they lifted from the UPS website.

Then several days later well after the due date I sent another email stating the package was now officially late, days past the later end of the promised delivery window.

The reply said they were sorry, blamed UPS and said they'd gladly file a claim on my behalf with UPS but it was too soon to do so.

Two days later the package arrived. USPS!!! Through the postal service. And worse, it was not boxed. It was wrapped in thick card stock, not even corrugated. WHen I opened it the Logitech packaging was crushed. The mouse was fine, but had it been a gift like the last one I bought for my gamer step-son it would have been completely unacceptable.

DO NOT ACCPET A PACKAGE FROM ANTOnline!!!

Customer Review: Awesome PC tool this mouse is!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Logitech MX 518 to replace an aging, but still used and very good working, black Microsoft 3-button optical mouse. I bought it for gaming pure and simple, but ALL things on a PC are better to do with one of these. This mouse has immensely improved my gaming in Supreme Commander and other very click happy games. I really don't know how you could be a success without a mouse like this actually in real-time strategy games.

I did not use the software, have Windows XP and do not intend to use the software from Logitech. The buttons for the thumb seem to default in IE (Internet Explorer) to the forward and backward buttons, don't know and don't care, at least for right now, how they operate in other browsers.

After getting used to the speed increase this mouse provides everyone else here using the MX 518 believes that this mouse is a good buy. The MX 518 is useful to have in every general PC business application.

As is the mouse is hands-down better than any other for the price/performance in the market past and present. Better deal than almost any other piece of hardware on the market for a PC, maybe even a Mac if you still have one of those.

Customer Review: My First Gaming Mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

Being my first gaming mouse I've ever bought, it's hard to rate and compare to other products. The only reason why I bought them ouse was for WoW really because I've been using a standard $10 Microsoft mouse for about a year but PvP with it is pretty difficult due to having no extra buttons that can be keybound. The shipping was incredibly fast and got to my base n Korea in less than a week and was the first package I've seen USPS hand deliver. The instalaton was too easy, take out the mouse, put in the CD, instal the updates, plug in the mouse, Windows gets the drivers and it's good to go. The DPI buttons are really nice and can easily be changed without a problem and I don't find myself accidently clicking them or anything at all. The actual build of the mouse itself is incredibly comfortable compared to my other mouse which was literally half it's size. Although I wish there was more buttons on the mouse itself to keybind the main 2 on the left are really nice for inturupts or stuns and whatnot making gameplay much easier. Overall, I'm hoping this guy lasts a good year or two before I have to find a replacement and I have no doubt that it will.

Customer Review: Perfect for both PC Gamers and websurfers
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this mouse in April of 2005 and I haven't had a problem with it. Perfectly tracks on all surfaces I have tested (though I'm sure highly reflective ones might cause a bit of problem). Honestly, I haven't found the DPI switching to be a feature I use very often, but it doesn't hurt.

Buttons have a very nice tactile feel. Especially useful are the two buttons on the left side of the mouse which default to paging forward and back in your webpages. After spending any significant time with this mouse, it's hard to surf the web with any other mouse; you'll constantly be pressing the nonexistant side buttons in an effort to navigate. The forward and back action also works when browsing through files and folders, which is also very helpful.

Finally, ergonomics on this mouse are absolutely incredible, at least if you are right handed.

Do not hesitate to buy this mouse

Update 2/28/09:

I am still using this mouse 3 years after buying it. The buttons started sticking slightly but it still works fine. I'll be very sad when it eventually died

Customer Review: KICK ASS
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an awesome gaming mouse, and for the price it is well worth the money. to start off, it has the only buttons you would need for a gaming mouse. There are two buttons above and below the scroll wheel that adjust the sensitivity (you will want to have a specific sensitivity for EVERY game you have). It also has a button that brings up the listed window mode (in Vista and 7 only) that brings you out of games, not unlike the windows button function. There are also two forward/back buttons that sit just above your thumb so you don't accidentally press them. The pads that are on the bottom of the mouse are made of some super-space material that makes them glide with ease on just about any surface. the only issue I see with this mouse is the fact that it is designed FOR RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE ONLY (they might have a left handed version, but I haven't checked). Overall a great mouse for the price, even if you aren't a gamer, this is still a nice mouse.

oh, I almost forgot, this mouse is great for people who are finger mousers (people who move the mouse with their fingers and not their entire hand).
