I've had this mouse for more than four years, and it continues to function as beautifully as it did new. I upgraded to this product from a Microsoft wireless model and realized I had no idea what I'd been missing. The increase in precision between that mouse and this helped not only my gaming, but my art (if it can be called that) as well. I know that there are newer, arguably better, mouse models on the market now, but I have no intention of switching until this goes bad -- which at this rate may be quite some time.Customer Review: Gaming Performance Mouse

After going through several ball mice and a few optical mice,all made by the biggies MS and Logitech.
I found the perfect gaming mouse in the MX 500. The curser
is true to my hand movement, and the buttons program easily.
Binding the buttons to game interactive tasks like jump,fire, crouch and the sort is very straight forward. This mouse gets my vote for any gamer on your Christmas list.
Not to be reserved for fun and games, it is comfortable and accurate for all users.

This mouse has an 800dpi optical sensor that surpasses all others, especially the popular MS optical mice. If you want a top performing mouse, buy this one. We are avid online gamers and this is the one we chose. The recent price drop (originally it sold for $45-50) to around $30 makes it a "must-have" item. The mouse is great. The cruise scrolling is an excellent feature. I had to return my first mouse due to a scroll wheel problem, and Logitech shipped me a new mouse with no problems. Very satisfied. I also bought the fUnc sUrface 1030 mouse pad to go along with this mouse and recommend it as well. By the way, I'm a professional computer programmer and spend hours a day on the computer.Customer Review: Best wired mouse for the money.

Great mouse for gaming. Why spend a fortune on a Razer when you can get just as good of performance out of a mouse like this. I've been using this mouse for many years now and it still feels and reacts like the day I purchased it. When it finally does die. I will be replacing it with the exact same model if they are still making them!
