I love the Logitech MX series of mice. I didn't get this mouse because of the "gaming" stuff or whatever, but because I've got the wireless MX700 at home and wanted a nice mouse for work. The mouse has brilliant ergonomics, a great "click" on the buttons, and a well designed mouse wheel. In addition, the forward and back buttons next to thumb make web-browsing a lot faster. I can't go back to browsing without them. My only complaint is that I wish the mouse had the same "weighty" feeling that the wireless version has. When I first used it I thought it was too light, but I've gotten used to that by now.Customer Review: Mouse Performs Well With Office Professional 2003

I bought this mouse in June, 2004 after seeing a demonstration of it on "Tech TV." The logitech drivers installed without a problem. I was able to comfortably navigate throughout the applications of my Microsoft Office Professional 2003 very easily. As compared with the clumsy scroll mouse that I had been using, this MX 510 is far superior. Because I did not want the hassle of battery replacement, I wanted to remain with a corded optical device. The only adjustment I had to make was to buy a solid black matsuited to optical mice.

I have huge hands, and all I need to say is that this mouse can not be beat, with maybe the exception of the mx518. I purchased one of these mice last year, and when i built my new computer, got another one, (blue colored) for it.
This mouse handles really well, is sturdy and quite accurate. It is perfect for any task on a pc (aside from those that are typing based). The buttons are only a plus. I havent found myself using them as much as I thought I would, however I would not complain if they were not even there. Logitech has done it again, another quality product.

I ordered this mouse because I still had an ancient ball-mouse and this was giving me problems. My hand started to feel bad after one hour of use and I simply couldn't win a match in Half Life against my cousin.
After buying this mouse, not only did it solve the problem with my hand, as it is big and just matches the size of it and just feels good, but it also gave me more kills at Half Life, although I still can't win over my cousin hehe. But he asked me: "what did you do to play better from one day to the other?".
I'm keeping the secret.
Customer Review: Great mouse for casual use or intense FPS gaming

The ergonomics of this mouse make it easy to use for casual use or for wrist tiring gaming. The grooves on both sides make it easy to grip and if necessary pick up and move quickly.
The scroller buttons above and below the scroll wheel are great for fast scrolling up/down a large page.
It took a little while to get used to the 2 thumb buttons, but it didn't take long before it was second nature.
The optics have been great and the movement is very smooth.
Overall a great mouse for many uses.
