Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech MX 400 Performance Laser MouseCustomer Review: Good as the Revolution for much less Summary: 5 Stars
I had a Logitech Revolution mouse for about two years and really liked it, but the battery on a rechargeable mouse doesn't last forever so when the performance started to get spotty, I decided to go with a corded mouse. The MX 400 mouse has the same feel as the Revolution, which is critical for me because I'm prone to repetitive stress issues, and it hasn't missed a beat in terms of performance. It's missing one button and a rocker wheel from the Revolution but truthfully, I didn't use them anyway. The buttons which are there have a nice tactile click and are positioned perfectly for my hand. In fact, the only problem I've had was that the first couple nights with the MX 400 when I shut off the computer for the night, I automatically tried to pick the mouse up to put it on the charger as I did with the Revolution only to be foiled by the cord. :)
Customer Review: Bought Used One, is Great Summary: 5 Stars
I have owned one of these for two or three years. I searched diligently for another and found only used ones. I took a chance on buying used, but my purchase was a good decision. The seller said it was like new, and it is.
The MX 400 is a great mouse design. It fits my hand perfectly. It is laser and tracks accurately on most any surface. I am very happy to find a second one, even a used one. Why Logitech discontinued this model is beyond me.
The only thing I don't like about this mouse are the extra buttons and the side scrolling wheel. I don't need these features. I don't eneed any extra features. I need a mouse that is comfortable to use, and this mouse fits my needs extraordinarily. It is the best I've ever bought, and when the time comes, I will again seek a used Logitech MX 400.
Customer Review: Amazing at this price Summary: 5 Stars
Seriously the best mouse I've ever had.
For heavy internet and word/spreadsheet users like me it is the perfect mouse to have. I had it in my previous job and just had to buy the same for my home computer. All the buttons are programmable and allow you to navigate between applications or even between different windows of a same application. These different functions come in particularly handy with the Dashboard and Exposé functions of Mac OS X .
The size and the design also make it one of the most comfortable out there.
Logitech tends to generally have some of the most expensive hardware, although they put great products on the market. However this mouse is one of the relatively affordable products they have and it is more than a lot of bang for the buck.
Customer Review: very good mid-range mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I dont play video games, and found this mouse to be a perfect one for business applications, graphics, etc.
I have been using Logitech mice for years, and when needed an update - decided to get this one. It's a laser mouse, and i found them to be much more forgiving of tracking surfaces, pretty much anything short of a mirror will be sufficient, not like the LED or old ball devices.
I have a wireless version similar to this one: Logitech MX 610 Cordless Laser Mouse (931350-0403), and i use it all the time on the road at clients' meetings. I prefer to use the wired version at home and in the office, so i don't have to worry about the batteries.
Customer Review: Great Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I think it's great. I shopped around for a bit for a $35ish mouse WITH a cord. I found this one and got it b/c another review said it had a better feel compared to the Microsoft competitor. Useful software (Mac OS X).
The only downside is a personal one... I actually like the good ol' red optical light type of mouses -- the laser, I suppose, makes this mouse super sensitive. So much so that when I tried to use it on something like a fuzzy surface (carpet, the car upholstery lid in the hatch of the VW Golf), the mouse has a hard time "focusing" in on smaller targets. It seemed like I never had that issue with the older style mice but... I didn't really find many of these around.
It's cool though. I like this one a lot.
