Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse - Dark Blue ( 931395-0403 )Customer Review: Nice piece of gear Summary: 5 Stars
I'm very happy with the LX7 itself - it's slim, looks good, has a smooth scroll action and quiet buttons, It fits neatly into the middle of my palm, which is how I usually use mice.
The receiver, on the other hand, is a bit too ungainly larger than the typical USB thumb drive. The translucent plastic shows that there is quite a bit of empty space inside. It's unfortunately a bit ungainly, especially compared to the amazingly tiny ones that Logitech ships with the more expensive mice these days. It would have been nice if it docked into the base of the mouse, like some of the Microsoft Notebook mice.
Since this isn't explicitly advertised as a notebook mouse, I suppose it's understandable. Overall, I'm satisfied, especially for the price of my refurb unit.
Customer Review: Used, Inexpensive and Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my used LX7 through Amazon from Reforger. It came with only the mouse, usb receiver and receiver extension. No software or instructions. Sent an email to reforger thinking the receiver might be bad. They replied promptly with instructions on how to download the software and connect the mouse using the "connect utility." Now it works like a charm. Only $17 bucks, free shipping and I now have the best mouse I've ever owned. Needless to say I'm very satisfied.
The mouse is great. Nice weight and feel and very responsive. I especially like the back and forward buttons next to the scroll wheel. It also comes with a great software package. I would recommend this mouse and Reforger to anyone interested in taking the chance on a great deal.
Customer Review: This is a great mouse! Summary: 5 Stars
I received this mouse at work as a "hand-me-down" - two people before me didn't care for it, but I love it. I've used it for quite some time (can't exactly remember the date) but I'd say it's at least a year and a half. I'm a computer programmer, so I use it every day for at least 8 hours a day.
I came to Amazon.com to look and see if it was still available as I want to get one for home use with my laptop. (Bought a Belkin wireless and am NOT happy with it - after about 10 minutes of use, it goes to sleep and sometimes it won't wake up.)
This one is completely reliable.
I was very happy to find that this model is still available. Don't hesitate to purchase one for yourself.
Customer Review: Coolest mouse ever! Summary: 5 Stars
The mouse feels really good to hold in your hand. The placement of the forward and back buttons for web browsing are in very convenient spots, but not so convenient that you accidentally click them all the time, as I did with my last mouse. The blue color is beautiful. The low battery indicator is wonderful. Rather than realizing your mouse doesn't work and scrambling for batteries, you get a warning to replace them so you can be ready ahead of time. I also like the fact that you can turn off the mouse with the power button on the bottom. The button is in-laid so that it does not get pressed accidentally. This is the best mouse design I've experienced so far in my whole computing life!
Customer Review: Excellent cheap plug-n-play mouse. Summary: 5 Stars
I primarily use OS X on an iMac, and occasionally Windows XP (also on the iMac), and I bought this mouse to replace the horrible and cumbersome wireless mouse + base station I had been using for Windows gaming. I liked the Logitech LX7 so much that it ended up replacing my Mighty Mouse (which I used in OS X). It is small but not too small, the receiver is a large (for a USB stick-thing) but still inconspicuous, and the extra buttons are in a perfect spot.
I also like this mouse because it requires no setup and works perfectly with no effort in both OS X and Windows. Additionally, it is a nice shade of blue.
