Not much to say here, except that this is definitely one of the nicest mice I've ever had the pleasure of using. I've had optical mice for a long time and since I recently upgraded to a new logitech keyboard (and was fairly impressed) I decided to take a look at their mouse offerings.
Needless to say, some products have far too many gizmos and buttons or just plain don't fit the 'look' that I'm going for. This LS1 mouse, however, is a stark contrast -simple, sleek, smooth, minimalist (2 buttons and a wheel) and high quality. I absolutely love the polished finish on this thing and it goes great with any black keyboard. The size is just about perfect for anyone with average size hands, not too large and not too small.
I know others have commented on the yellow/green color banding (and bottom) of the mouse, but I honestly think it adds to it. Somehow it seems like it would be too dull without a hint of contrast somewhere. Maybe that's just me though. ;)
As you'd expect, the tracking on this mouse is excellent, especially if you're upgrading from an optical mouse. I can't compare it to other laser mice as this is the first I've used, but it definitely trumps all the optical mice I've had before this.
IMHO, the bottom line is that if you're in the market for a laser mouse without all the bells and whistles, but that still has excellent build quality (not to mention style) this should definitely be on your short list of candidates. For the price, I really don't think you can go wrong with this mouse.
