Since I got my XBox 360 Setup as a Media Center extender I had to get a remote as controlling MC with the XBox controller can become tedious.
On first inspection the remote is much slimmer than it looks on pictures and feels nice in your hand. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the buttons are very clicky which is not so much a problem for me but people with longer fingernails may have an issue.
The software installed without problems on Vista and once you register you get guideded through a Wizard to setup the remote. I took me about 4-5 trips between living-room and office to configure some buttons the way I want. The Wizard itself just does some basic setup based on what it thinks you need but it amazed me that it has a lot of exotic devices in its database.
Since I got it all setup I am pretty happy with the remote. The LCD screen is not very readable if you don't press the glow button so if you don't know what custom functions you programmed on your 4 custom buttons you will hit glow in the beginning.
Overall a great remote that does everything as advertised. Even non-techies have an easy time using it off the bat.

Does everything I ask it to, can't really ask for much more. I was curious to how the activities (i.e. Watch T.V.) would work, I had worried it would turn off my T.V. if already on, stuff like that. However, the remote remembers what it has done. So as long as you only use the remote your good with whatever your doing and if you screw it up the help feature actually helps a lot. I have a mac and the software works really well. I did have to change some settings around to fit my personal wants and the software was really easy to configure what I wanted it to. Even works with my PS3 with the existing 3rd party IR remote I had purchased, just haven't figured out how to remotely turn the system on with the remote, but I couldn't do that with the original remote, so. The only downside is that it was to easy to set up, I got it as an early Xmas present and hoped I could tinker with it all day, but it only took 20 minutes including testing and reconfiguring a couple buttons. This item is just glorious and if you want only 1 remote, this is the one if you have an Xbox360 and even if you don't being you can use the X,Y,A, and B buttons for anything you want.Customer Review: Works as advertised

Great little remote that can operate multiple devices with one button press. To watch my blu-ray, I click "Watch DVD" and it turns on the blu-ray machine and TV, and sets the TV to the correct input automatically. Afterwards to watch cable, I click "Watch TV" and it turns off the blu-ray, turns on the cable box, and sets the TV to the correct input. Cool. Saves from having to haul around multiple remotes.
Also, I had lost my main remote for an old Sony VCR which basically junked the unit because it could not be programmed without the remote. I tried several other universal remotes before with the VCR to no avail. Now with the Logitech Harmony remote, not only could I enter channels directly, but I could program the unit just like with the original master remote. Thanks, Logitech!
Finally, I recently discovered that you can watch free internet TV from hulu.com through the xbox360 + the PlayOn media center extender software. This is really cool, and having this Logitech remote with the built in Xbox buttons makes watching hulu so much easier. I think I will get rid of high-price cable tv soon.

I was a little skeptical about this (and any other) universal remote, but decided to buy it with a gift card I'd gotten for Christmas. I was immediately pleased & surprised at the ease with which I got the remote configured... the software provided took me through a logical and simple setup process after a concise, optional tutorial.
In five minutes I had my remote set up to control my TV, Xbox 360 (now doubling as my DVD player), and Cable Box. After I played with it for a bit, I decided to spend a couple more minutes customizing my controls for an even easier experience.
It's very nice to be able to control any and all of my home entertainment devices with a single remote control; as I plan on getting a receiver in the near future, I'm looking forward to having my TV, cable, XBox, and audio systems all set to power on & adjust themselves to my preferences at the touch of a single button.
Definitely a nifty remote, easy to use, convenient, and in my opinion a great investment for anyone who's currently juggling multiple remotes or getting frustrated with a cheaper 'universal' remote.

This remote is great and it was easy to setup. You install the software, plug in the remote to your computer, and tell it what devices you own. It takes about 10 minutes to setup and then you can control all of your devices with one remote.
If you have an XBox 360 and a Netflix account, this remote is a must. It lets you easily boot up your 360 and automatically switches to the correct input on the TV all with a single click. Once you have the 360 booted you can easily navigate to the Netflix and watch your instant queue movies without ever needing to use a control or another remote. I also control a DVD/VCR combo with this remote and it works like a charm.

I was a little concerned after reading a few reviews where people said the remote wouldn't work for them. You MUST setup the remote first, this remote will not work out of the box. It takes 10-15 minutes at most to setup and works with literally thousands of devices.
