I set the extender up with my harmony remote and it worked as advertised. The only hint I didn't catch on the first setup is that you can specify with the remote which of the 4 ports shoot the IR signal out (or set to shoot on all). The first time I set it up I did not specify and it did not work. This was user error because I'm not a big reader of manuals. A quick peek in to the instructions and I caught this and it worked perfect.
For anyone who is looking to hide their equipment and also not have to deal with pointing the remote at the devices this works great with the compatible harmony remotes.

I have Logitech Harmony 1100 remote ,the Logitech Harmony RF Wireless Extender work AWESOME with it..... AWESOME
It allows use of the remote in installations where my equipments is not directly in line-of-sight with the remote: behind cabinet doors,Or like my case I'm sitting (my home theater) in the front because I have a projector and all my equipments Rear so all my equipments is not directly in line-of-sight, etc
This is extremely simple to set up .....
Go for it..... you won't be disappointed with Logitech hormany 1100, AWESOME

I debated whether I should purchase this unit to compliment my Logitech Harmony 1000 remote control. After all, each of my home theatre components were already wired with IR sensors and I was skeptical of the consistent connectivty of the signal (wireless signal dropping out)? Wow! Was I wrong. The RF Extender works exactly as it should. The set-up was a breeze, and the connection is solid. It works evey time...flawlessly. It is definitely, worth the price of admission. This remote is absolutely the best value after you get it set up to your system components. It will take some work and maybe a call to tech support, but you will be happy with the end result. It took me some time(4hours) and a call to their very good tech support to finally get the last glitch out of the remote. The RF works great so I can keep the doors closed to my cabinet and still have full function control of six different components.Customer Review: Better Than Expected

The extender easily linked up with the Harmony 890 remote. I have 4 pieces of equipment behind oak doors. I put the leads in each cabinet, it was not even necessary to attach them to the components, and the signal is great. The 890 remote comes with one extender which is good for 8 components, so you don't need to order a separate extender. I didn't realize it was included, but Amazon accepted my return without a problem.
