This product was much smaller than I was expecting. I found this to be very nice. I have teamed it up with a Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging].
Setup was quick and easy. It took me longer to route the power cord than it took me to sync the adapter to my PS3.
The small size of this unit, and the fact that with Blue Tooth the PS3 does not even have to be visible, greatly increases component arrangement possibilities. The light weight of the adapter makes it possible to Velcro or double stick tape it to the bottom of a shelf, the side of your TV or any other place you may need it. I have one sitting on top of a PS3 Slimline and one on a narrow shelf with a Wii receiver.
I highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to get down to a single remote and has a PS3.

Hello All,
I got this PS3 adapter and it rocks. Before i had this, i used to PS3 remote controller to control Blu-ray discs. Now with this, i don't need anything but my harmony one remote.
All you have to do is, go to your computer and open harmony software and then add the PS3 there. If you already added it to the list of devices, please remove it and add it. Once you are done with that, you can group it into any activity. if you already have an activity with PS3 in it, then remove and re-configure that activity again. sync the remote. It all takes mostly 5 min max and you are all set. Then go to your PS3 and turn it on and sync with this adapter using add/manage remote controller in the settings menu. simple. that is all you have to do. very easy to set up and it works like a charm. No issues.
So i strongly recommend this adapter to whoever have harmony remotes and PS3 game console.

I have looked for many different options for controlling my PS3 with a harmony remote (I currently use a One, but have had an 880 and 1000 prior to that) and this one seems to be the best choice. Most alternatives can't power on/off the system or look like the built in a garage option that they are. Assuming you take the time and read the instructions this hooks up easily and can be working and controlling your PS3 within 5 minutes of opening the box. It is pretty expensive and it disappoints me a little that Logitech hasn't made a controller with a built in PS3 module (they did make an 360 controller at one point in time) but, at the same time it works beautifully. I would have liked an option to have it battery powered and save me the cord clutter but with as many cords as I already have running one more isn't all that noticeable. In short, if you have a PS3 and want to run it with your Harmony remote, this is THE option to pick.Customer Review: If it were any cheaper Amazon would have to create a 6th star...

I purchased the Harmony One remote a couple of weeks ago and bought this with it. Amazon does a fantastic job with their "Frequently Bought Together" feature as I had no idea this product existed until I was purchasing the Harmony.
I bought this item thinking that if I did not like it I could return it using Amazons 30 day return policy. Now that I've received it and have it installed I can't believe I ever thought to return it. It seems with my Sony licensed BD Remote I was having to re-pair with the system every time I wanted to use it and was having to change the batteries out seemingly every month. So far this has remained paired through several uses and is even more responsive than the Sony licensed remote.
I know it is a little pricey, but if you are someone spending $189+ for a Harmony One remote to be a true all-in-one remote, this item is essential if part of your entertainment involves a PS3.

The only issue I had getting this to work with my Harmony remote was that there was no device called "Logitech Harmony Adapter for PS3" listed in the software. After looking for it in various device categories for a very long time I tried it with the general "Playstation 3" device and it worked great. It even automatically handles those video prompts when you want to turn it off. It is a huge improvement over having to use a separate remote just for the PS3 player.
You can't tell from the picture, but the thing is tiny. It's about cell phone sized. Something that is kind of curious about this is that the power LED is extremely bright. It is much brighter than the LEDs on any other piece of AV equipment I have. It is bright enough to use as a night light. That could be a good or bad thing depending on where you have it and how you feel about night lights. Worse case, a tiny piece of electrical tape will hide the bright LED.
