Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Harmony 890 Remote Control - RefurbishedCustomer Review: A wonderful deal . . . if it works right Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased a brand new Harmony One for the family room and loved it. Not wanting to pay $150 for a second remote to control the bedroom entertainment system, I did some digging on the Amazon site and saw the refurbished 890 at a great price. After reading the mixed reviews about the refurbished item, I admit to being a little nervous. I have been very pleased with what I got. My refurbished 890 works flawlessly. It was a breeze to set up, and all the buttons and functions work as advertised. It's not quite as good as a Harmony One, but for the price I strongly recommend it. And, remember, if you don't like it, simply send it back for a refund!
Customer Review: great anywhere Summary: 5 Stars
We've owned two Logitech Harmony remotes. There is electrical interference in our living room that prevents other remotes from communicating with the av equipment. The wireless extender included with the 890 permits us to control our equipment from anywhere in our house and could be used with equipment behind closed doors.
The software setup was lengthy, but easy to follow.
The only complaints we have with the product concern the slippery chassis and difficulty operating it with one hand.
I highly recommend this remote.
Customer Review: Best remote bar none Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far the easiest and best remote you can buy - the RF control of the 890 version makes all the difference - this is the second one I have purchased - it seems like a lot to pay for a remote but this is well worth it - the old one I have used for two years battery is still as strong and the keys hold up nicely - I tried the philips programmable and other cheaper versions none of them work as well as the 890 I like the software, I use a mac and have no issues with programming at all simple, just a great product
Customer Review: Excellent remote Summary: 5 Stars
I previously owned the Harmony 880 remote, and I also bought one for my brother. After getting a Dish network receiver that wouldn't run on IR commands, I gave my 880 to my parents, which they love, and I bought the 890 for the RF, which utilizes the IR blaster, which works with the Dish Network receiver and all of my other electronic components. I would suggest this remote to anyone looking to cut down on the clutter of remotes sitting around. One button per activity, turns on and off all devices that I use/don't use.
Customer Review: Logitech Harmony 890 rocks Summary: 5 Stars
We bought the refurbished unit. Works great without any problems. It can be a little challenging to program, but if you have a bit of patience and an hour to burn, it's not terribly difficult. We've got 4 items programmed and plan to add a few more to the remote. The remote actually works better (stronger signal) than the manufacturer remote that came with my tv. These things aren't cheap, and programming can be frustrating, but having a single remote is a vast improvement over the tangle of remotes on the table.
