Customer Review: One Remote for Everything!

It did take some trips back and forth to the computer. But we now have ONE remote for everything. And the best part is my wife can operate our audio/video system all by herself, because this remote will turn on any combination of our equipment with one button push. One push to watch a DVD, one push to watch TV, one push to play the "Wii". And if by some chance, like not pointing it right at the unit long enough, simply push "help" and it can be fixed right away. I eliminated six remotes. The unit is slim and well lit. Battery life seems good. And with all the buttons this unit has, you can make this remote do everything the original remote did. You can have the special buttons labeled in the window at the top, or use any of the unused buttons to control a specific one off thing your original remote could do. The programming and customization requires patience and some knowledge of your components operational requirements. But the reward is well worth the effort. I will gladly buy another Logitech remote the moment this one fails which I hope never happens. But I do have a five year old who can also use this Harmony 550. I Highly recommend this universal remote control.
