This mouse is absolutely awesome. I've always been a fan of Logitech mice, having had a G7 and G5. I was looking for a new mouse and tried some of the Razer mice. I didn't find them comfortable at all and after using them for several days, they still didn't cut it. So I decided to try the Logitech G9, and I'm so glad I did.
First this mouse is extremely comfortable. I could just pick this mouse up and start playing, and didn't lose any of my previous accuracy in FPS. Anyone who has gotten a new mouse knows that it usually feels weird when you first get a mouse. This mouse just felt right. There was no adjustment period, it was just perfectly shaped for your hand.
Also this mouse is great for customizability, you have two grips, adjustable weights, and the software is very robust and lets you create profiles for mouse sensitivities and even changing the color of the LED.
The tracking on this mouse is perfect, I've never had the mouse skip on me, and I usually play FPS games like CS, COD4 and TF2. The construction of the mouse is top notch, I've had it for several months without any sign of wear to the grip or the bottom of the mouse. All in all a fantastic mouse. Definitely a 5 star product.

This mouse is incredible for gamers. First, it comes with two detachable grips, so if you like your mouse slim and sleek, you can go there. If you prefer the fuller, bulkier feel in your hands as you game, you can do that as well. There are NINE different buttons to use, each can be programmed to do a specific function. The mouse can also carry three different profiles in it so you can use it on different computers and it still remembers what each button is used for.
It comes with weights as well, so if you want your mouse heavy, you can make it that way. If you prefer it to be lighter, then don't use any of them. It has light up LEDs on the mouse as well to let you know which profile you're using.
This mouse is absolutely perfect for gamers or even casual users. The response is dead-on, the scroll wheel is the smoothest I've used on any mouse. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to completely customize every aspect of their computer system.

I guess the title pretty much sums it up.
The weight system works well, I was easily able to find a comfortable weight and a comfortable cover for the mouse, and have been using it that way for something like 2 years now without any issues.
The profiles are great, the DPI + and - buttons come in really handy, the scroll wheel is very handy (scroll up and down and rock left and right, click the button on the bottom of the mouse to switch scroll modes between smooth and notch scrolling), the braided cable is strong.
The mouse software works fine--it's typical mediocre-quality Logitech software, but it certainly does facilitate the use of the mouse in some very cool ways. I have many games that don't support some of the extra mouse buttons, and it's very simple to store a profile on the mouse that remaps those to other keyboard keys that are supported by almost all games, so that I can easily switch back and forth depending on whether or not the same supports all my buttons by default.
I'm sure there are other great gaming mice around. There are certainly more expensive ones... but I'm very, very happy with this particular one.

This is the ultimate in gaming/mouse experiences. You can adjust the sensitivity of the mouse for gaming. Once you have that under control, your gaming precision is sure to get faster and more accurate. As far as simply being a good mouse, it has great features. There is a choice between a wider or thinner mouse grip. I use the wider one as my hands are large and I have always had trouble with thinner mice. Plus, you can add weight to the mouse (up to 28 g), which is something I had never thought would be such a great advantage. The bulk and the sensitivity really improves handling. The scroll wheel can be adjusted to either a smooth or a click response (I prefer the click). Just the velvety feel and the wider grip makes a huge difference. This might seem minor, but the cord is braided which makes it easy to distinguish when plugging and unplugging in the back of my desktop.Customer Review: Great mouse

I bought this mouse to replace my broken Razer Copperhead. I decided to try out logitech instead of Razer again. It's a great mouse and pretty comfy.
I use it almost primarily for gaming so the thumb buttons are awsome especially since you can assign macros to them. DPI switching works great and is really useful. I do miss the on the fly sensitivity switching of the Razer's that the G9 does not have. It's pretty heavy so it may take a while getting used to. It's smaller than my Copperhead but I always use my mice with my finger tips due to my large hands but for other people, ergonomics may take some time to get used to. Buttons are responsive and the click to click wheel has good feedback.
Love the extras like frictionless scroll wheel, swappable grips and color changeable leds. On board memory lets you store 5 profiles on the mouse - very useful for using on different couputers. I find the weight cartridges unnecessary as the mouse is pretty heavy already. Tilt wheel and hyperfast scrolling are great for surfing the web.
Overall great mouse; highly recommended.
