Customer Review: Supurb Sound, Build, and Over all Quality

I am a previous owner of the X-540's but wasnt so satisfied with the sound quality, althought they are excellent but i knew there had to be something out there that was better, so i gave them to my younger brother and decided to upgrade to these speakers. SO far the Build quality is excellent, and the sound quality is excellent.
Pros:
- Ease of use, i actually bought the Logitech 5.1 Game Console Adapter Convert Rca Plugs To A Single 1/8 but figured I didn't need it because the Sub has 2(two) female RCA plugs that goes right in, so i stored the Adapter future use.
- I use these speakers for a wide range of music. Some people actually complain about the Sub being "weak" but It all depends on the positioning and where you place the sub woofer. For example, i placed the sub woofer right beneath my computer desk and it sounded decent, but there is also a opening/closing compartment where i can store books, Cd's, etc and that is the new home for the sub woofer, and i can assure you that by all means it is NOT "weak". This thing THUMPS! LOL
- The Matrix in this thing is just amazing. Once you switch it from "music" to "gaming" the sounds just come ALIVE! Sounds become much more crisp, especially the rear channels, they are much more loud and clear (especially when playing FPS(First Person Shooter) games. I use these for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Starcraft 2.
- The Control Pod is the heart of the system. Being able to adjust nearly all of the features of the speakers/sub is great. Most speaker sets dont offer so much control (such as the X-540 which only allows you to control Bass and "Matrix" which activates the rear channels, but it still doesn't allow you to adjust the Rear channel volume.) for the price of these, so these are definitely worth it.
Cons:
- The only con i have about this set are the Rear Channel speakers. I agree that everyone would prefer either longer wires/cords or the rear speakers to even be wireless. They just aren't long enough.
Other thoughts:
- I couldn't actually mount the rear channels to the corners of my room because of the short wires/cords. So i decided to mount them to the ceiling. I purchased some speaker mounts from my local Target for about $20 (Sanus Speaker Wall Mount - Black (SWMB-01)) which was well worth it considering my situation and others alike.
- I would definitely recommend these to a friend. Not only are they good for gamers, but for all audiences as well. These could be used for music, movies, games, you name it.
