Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (Black)

Customer Review: I love this keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

Not too loud, good key layout and feel. I find the LCD useful for quickly monitoring CPU and RAM usage (instead of starting up the task manager). Don't use it for gaming much, so I can't say about that part.

The shortcut keys are very useful, I associated mine to quickly start a DOS console, and open up folders I often go to, very practical. The 2 USB ports are useful as well.

Cons: I wish the LCD screen was in color :) Switching between "LCD programs" (like the clock, CPU+RAM monitor) is not very practical so I disable all programs but the CPU+RAM monitor. Also, none of the extra G15 functionality works when you hook it up to a KVM switch (it then acts as a basic keyboard, the LCD screen shows a big "G15" and that's it), none of the extra keys work via KVM.

Customer Review: Simply The Best gaming keyboard.
Summary: 5 Stars

This keyboard has 6 g keys G1-G6 that can hold your keystrokes you store into it. And 3 M buttons on top, M1-M3 these keys are called macro banks, each one has it own G1-G6.

that being said you can store upto 18 macros on your keyboard and switch through them with great ease.

for gaming purposes this is a great feature. Be sure to down load the latest software for the Profile Manager for best results however, since the one included on the cd, is outdated.

You can use the macros in games such as World of warcraft, Starwars Galaxies, Everquest 2, these are just ones I have tested it on. I have also used it on fallout 3 and several other single player games. It makes things you would normally need 3 or 4 fingers more to do, a lot easier.

Summary: 5 Stars

Pros:
-Silent Keystrokes
-Backlit
-6 function keys with three groups (M1,M2,M3) per profile
-Lots of profiles available
-Nice macro recorder for quick logins
-LCD screen is nice with iTunes
-LCD screen works well with temps and cpu/mem usage
Cons:
-Orange backlight
-backlight could be brighter
-USB 1.1 Ports on the keyboard
-LCD Software Stops working sometimes (simple restart of the software usually fixes it)

Cons are mainly preferences in my case. I prefer a blue backlight with greater intensity. However, the USB 1.1 ports are a con, but then again most people have tons of USB 2.0 ports and HUBS nowadays. I haven't had a problem with the LCD software in quite some time. 4.5/5 But I'll round up.

Customer Review: BADASSERY to the bone!

ONCE you figure out how to use the damn thing it is awesome! Making the macros is the hardest part but once you figure that out, it is the best damn thing and you will have so much fun with it. I use macros to change weapons in game and gear all the time. I even have macros set to invite the same friends I play with all the time in games so I don't have to type their hard to spell names all the time. Tough keyboard, had it for a few years now I believe andeverything is still working like the first day I bought it. No problems with keys getting stuck or anything. Mine has the flip up screen of old, but it is great for ventrilo or teamspeak. Shows who joined, left channel and server, comments made and even who is in your channel in a list if you want. Great versatility.

Customer Review: Great, awesome

Logitech impresses me again! I got them all over my desk. Speakers mice, keyboards and more. I'm going to by stock in Logi soon

First keyboard i got was 1st generation. had a slight problem. replacement is 2nd generation. I do like this one better its a little less wide. the LCD panel and applets are cool. i love keeping eye on ram and CPU usage. And the keyboard scrolls name of songs and artist when playing MP3's.

I wish was wireless, but since mouse receiver is right in front of me no big deal. And the 2 UsB ports on keyboard come in handy.

love the lighted keys. I've been useing a keyboard for years, but still can't seem to tpe without looking and useing about 3 fingers.

uy IT you'll LOVE it too!
