Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (Black)Customer Review: G15 Gaming Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
This keyboard has a nice LCD screen, which displays several artifacts of info such as date/time, countdown/timer, cpu/mem performance, as well as stats for various games.
-Media controls, huge mute button for quick access.
-2 USB ports on the screen-side with wire-runners. I don't know what USB version they are, but they still provide power and a decent transfer rate.
-The keyboard DOES have 18 macro keys(6 keys times 3 modes.) The software included also enables different profiles for different games.
-The keys are a bit tight, and I find myself hitting the G6 or G5 macro key instead of the left control or left shift.
-Backlit keys are really nice for night time gaming, 3 different levels of orange brightness(high/med/off)
-The Windows key lock is really handy for the clumsy people out there also.
This is a really nice gaming keyboard and for $70(at time of this review) it is a relatively cheap, good quality gaming keyboard.
Customer Review: Great Keyboard but still can be improved Summary: 5 Stars
I love the idea and design of the new G15, they complains about passing from 18 macro keys to 6, 12 whould be better.
Pros:
The design, the backlight, the LCD, all the custom applets you can add with LCDStudio. I love this thing.
Cons:
The backlight, if you use to sit a little far from it you just can see the buton half of the chars in the keys.
USB 1.1?, please do it right!, add an AC adapter to the keyboard and lets have 2.0 USB ports, pen drives, iPods will have a decent transfer rate this way.
Macro keys, 18 was too much and made the keyboard to big, 6 are too few, maybe enough for gaming but as the keyboard lac of many funtion keys, like calculator, web sites and stuff, 6 keys aren't enough to complete the usefull set of keys we need, 12 macro keys would do it better.
The stand, if the 2 little feet at the botom could be longer so the keyboard has more angle, would be great.
But I still love this thing.
Customer Review: Good. I miss the amount of macros... Summary: 5 Stars
I love this keyboard I must admit the light is much easier to see and although the LCD is smaller its a lot more useful it seems The older g15 I loved to death but never seem to use the LCD much its like I always would forget its theres this sticks out more... when you look down.... This may be a good or a bad thing but I like it.. I also must admit the speed of the macros is a lot greater then the first g15... I can spam like a elite pro now =)
On the down side theres less macro keys I mean a lot less they I guess for size factor decided too. I also miss the turning sound wheel it felt more useful when it was a wheel then a button. I am happy to announce it is USB 2.0 not 1.1 like the last one.
Overall It's a great keyboard, It's my choice in fraggin/webdesign/programming.
The macros are still as fast and useful as ever. Logitech just needs to bring out a color changing back light like the g9 mouse, Then I can say it's all good
Customer Review: Great Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
I built me a gaming rig and this was the keyboard I chose. I'm very satisfied with this keyboard. It has more than enough keys and the G keys can be programmed to do almost anything. The LCD display screen is a very nice feature and unlike the original G15 the lights match the LCD screen. Also what sets this one apart from the original design is the size and how much easier it is to clean. The only thing I dislike about this keyboard is the lights are orange and my computer lights are blue. That's no big deal, just makes my rig unique =D.

Customer Review: Gives my new build a more "tech-savy" look Summary: 5 Stars
Put together a new PC for myself for the first time just a couple of months ago. I built this machine to be exactly what I wanted it to be and was really pleased with the outcome. The G-15 was the icing on the cake. The LED screen on the keyboard itself added just the right amount of bling to my system along with a 28-inch 1080p monitor to give my new build the look to match the performance of the machine itself. The backlit keys are great for late night gaming when everyone is in bed and the lights are turned down. My system has had no problems since installation as I downloaded the driver for the keyboard directly from Logitech instead of using the disk that came with the keyboard. I added a Logitech cordless optical Trackman instead of a traditional mouse and my system was ready for some GAMIN'! I had previously used only cheap keyboards and I'm glad I gave the G-15 a look.
