Customer Review: Finally...a keyboard with intelligence and capability

My forty seven year old eyes need some help while gaming at night and the G15 is wonderfully legible, with two settings for brightness. In addition, the LCD display has a three position (low, mid, high) setting for both brightness and contrast. The LCD display is a wonder in itself. Capable of varying font types and sizes, generated by the games suppported by the profile software. The display has it's own programming software and comes with support for about 100 games as of version 2.02. The keyboard has six "g" keys arrayed vertically on the left of the keyboard. This is the second version G15 to be produced and it is smaller and better designed than it's predecessor. The LCD display is now molded into the keyboard, rather than being attached by two points from which it tilted.
The "profiler" software is able to assign keystrokes, macros, functions, shortcuts...I'm sure it probably knows how make you a better gamer if you're willing to invest the time needed to master the complexities of the software. If you want a REAL gaming keyboard buy this baby. Your eyes (and fingers) will thank you.

I was searching for a keyboard that I could use in the dark. I first tried one that is blue (not a logitech) it proved to be a one star rated keyboard. Now this G15 from Logitech is awesome!!!! The feel is fantastic. Fits my finger and hands just perfect. The hand rest is great. I am a lazy typer so it works great for me. I don't play any of the online games it is famous for but just for the multiple programable keys and the LCD screen it is worth it. I do however play Ogame and the function of the two timers is great. Helps me keep track of fleet movements and mine building times. This is a fantastic keyboard and I recommend it to everyone even folks who don't play games. I am having one problem however and that is one of the timer buttons is not working and I am sure it will be replaced/fixed soon. The software that comes with the keyboard is super easy to use. Lots of options for setting up the games, timers, your clock.
So if you have the money this keyboard is well worth the 5 pizzas it would cost instead of this keyboard and I know you will get more enjoyment out of this keyboard than the pizzas.

For a gamer this keyboard is awesome.Best keyboard I have ever owned.My next gaming system I will buy another one or buy the next newer model.The gaming keyboards by Logitec keep getting better.I had the last logitec keyboard that was lighted with the gaming profile but, this one is much better the LCD screen is brighter and gives more information.The LCD panel and the lighted keys are also a plus.You have a clock to let you know the time and also a news ticker that let you know the latest news updates going on in the world.If you install a game and the software picks the game up as long as it is in the sofware profiler the game is imported into the software so you don't need to add the game in.For the price of under $100 well worth it.This ketboard is also great for Flight/Space and sub sims like Flight simulator,X-3 Reunion and Slient Hunter 4.Looks great when you turn off the lights at night while flying at night in Flight Simulator to Cruising in space in X3.The keyboard is very well lighted day or night that you can always see the keyboard for any key input you may need.Customer Review: Great Gaming Keyboard!

As I am fairly heavily invested in the three gaming machines my sons and I play on, I check things out pretty thoroughly before I buy. Gone are the days of the $[...] keyboard and $[...] mouse in this house. I want lasting quality. I'm pretty sure I found it in the G15.
I bought one to test it and it functions flawlessly. The display is clear and the keys are crisp. I found that the number of G keys are plenty, too. Mine also doubles for work and it works great for that, too. The Windows lock-out ket is awesome (never seen that before)! I already over 50 hours on it and its passed my tests and those of both boys. I'll be buying two more very soon.
If I had a complaint it would only be that the "Enter", "Shift", etc, buttons are only symbols. However, I realize that's really based on a 45 year-old's dislike for change. The kids picked up on it like it was always that way! Of course, they type while watching the screen, too!
Great keyboard! I won't call it a "must have", but it's at the top of the list in the "want" category.

This keyboard replaces a Kensington wireless that recently failed. I am very pleased with the touch and feel of the keys. They have a longer stroke than typical laptop type boards, but are not so long as the IBM type spring buckling boards.
I selected a lighted board as my work area is quite dim. I am pleased with the effect. I can see the keys very easily in dim light or total darkness. However the keys in the lowest two rows of the number pad have a noticeable shadowing of their tops; so far this hasn't produced any issues as they are still bright enough to see.
I wanted a blue lit board but I am getting used to the red; it is very easy on the eyes.
I have not actually used the board for gaming so I will leave that to others; but I can fully recommend this board to the programmer who works in dim light or late at night. The extra game function keys work well for starting compilers, editors or even exercising functions within the development environment without shortcut keys.
