Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard (Black/Silver)Customer Review: It's all about the "G" keys. Summary: 5 Stars
I play a lot of Warcraft and got tired of some of the repetitive key/button sequences. Like mounting and unmounting. Sure, I could attach a macro to a numeric key, but there's only one row of them and all six sets of bindings are used. Now I have more. More is better.
I don't really care about the lighted keys, but I absolutely love the 18 G keys. Oh yeah, I had to get a CyberPower High-Speed 7-Port USB Hub to power the thing. My computer sits a fair distance away so the noise doesn't bother me and the G11 has too short of a USB cord.
Customer Review: the G11 Summary: 5 Stars
I've gotta say I was disappointed when the macro keys are in fact just macro keys and don't emulate additional keys for MMO goodness. However, they are very useful to have. eventually you get used to the additional keys to the side of your keyboard.
Size wise- it's like having another numpad stuck to the other side of your keyboard. It's not bad at all with a nice computer desk (saying as if you dont use the slider on most desks).
USB, Media controls, their all nice. The blue illumination is pretty nice looking too (though its light.. guess noone really wants it too bright anyway)
I did find it odd that the notification light and the macro set lights were orange though.... oh well. nothing bothersome.
Customer Review: Good backlit keyboard for the price Summary: 5 Stars
This keyboard is a good bang for your buck - backlit in a beautiful blue hue, large and very comfortable, and overall awesome looking. Makes my desk look like a command center, very cool. I have owned keyboards with better touch response from the keys (HP wireless and Apple wired), but for the price it's a great buy. If you have large hands like me, this is one of the best keyboards out there for you.
The programmable keys are a bonus, although I'm not much of a gamer, and seldom use them. Software that comes with it is pretty bad, though, it stopped working on my Windows 7 one day and I was too lazy to reinstall it. Was able to make the programmable keys work in Linux, albeit after a lot of tweaking.
Customer Review: my first worry-free keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
got this few days ago, i really like it..
don't have any problem with this keyboard, the g-keys are all working in any game and useful for non-gaming application as well..
illuminated keys are perfect for late night typing or gaming, great typing feel and really love the blue glows..
many people said that they always mistaken g-keys with ctrl button; no need to worry, that does not always happening..
can't see any problem with this keyboard..everything looked nice..never use the usb port on the keyboard but i'm not planing to use it anyway since i still got 5 unused usb ports.
i give it 5 out of 5 for perfect performance.
Customer Review: The best backlit keyboard so far! Summary: 5 Stars
This keyboard in my opinion is by far the best backlit keyboard I have found and used. Other KB's light everything but this only lights the actual letters which makes it easier to see in the dark. I really don't look at the keyboard much when typing but when I'm playing games or working on music etc., I can see what I'm doin in the dark with no issues.
The volume dial and other shortcut keys make things very simple and if I had to find one thing I don't like in the few months I've used this item, it would be the tabs that tilt the KB up are not high enough. However, this is a minor issue that maybe logitech can resolve in later models. I say buy it!! :)
