Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless TrackMan WheelCustomer Review: Ergonomic, easy to learn and more efficient than regular mouse Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best mouse I've ever tried. I'll never go back to a regular mouse again. I feel like a fool for pushing a mouse around the desk for all these years. The thumb trackball is so much easier.
-Great ergonomics, when I sit correctly with this no pain in wrist, arm or shoulder.
-Quick and easy to learn, except for use in games, that requires a lot more practice than using it for web browsing etc, but some great professional gamers use trackball so there's got to be something to it=)
-I recommend it for all kinds of computer use except drawing, but that's what Wacom tablets are for.
Looks like Logitech has stopped selling this wireless version of the trackman, so that they can sell more of the inferior(in my opinion) new version with trackball in the front instead of by the thumb. Get this one while it lasts!
Customer Review: won't go anywhere without it Summary: 5 Stars
I got my TrackMan after I kept wearing out the elbow/forearm areas of my dress shirts from all of the sliding around using a regular mouse. At the time, I was developing aches in my wrist, so I was compensating by moving my whole arm vs. just the wrist when using the mouse. A co-worker bought me the TrackMan as a gift. I've moved around a bit, but my ergonomic keyboard & my cordless mouse have gone everywhere with me. A couple of relevant updates are that I haven't had to throw out another dress shirt with "worn elbow syndrome" and the wrist aches disappeared. Oh, and btw, the mouse was a gift from (at least) 2002/2003. Change out the battery when it gets sluggish, and periodically open the base to clean off the ball & the contacts. Otherwise, 7-8 years & counting. Shame I can only give 5 stars for Longevity, I think it deserves a lot more.
Customer Review: Wireless device that works as well as an wired Summary: 5 Stars
I have seen that other wireless devices needs to be synchronized frequently by a manually way pushing some button, but this device doesn't needs such a thing, so it works almost as an wired device but without worring about the length of the wire.
This device is also very comfortable, I don't feel tiredness using it, and I can put it on any surface, even on my leg, or on the bed in some times, so I can get the best position to work comfortably.
The only thing is a little discomfort is that the receiver part is bigger than others devices I have seen, and it has a long wire because each part, the reciever and the mouse, need to be at less 20cm of another electronic device, including the computer, to function properly, but that can be forgiven because of the device works very well until 3m of distance of the receiver.
Customer Review: WIRELESS THUMB BALL MOUSE Summary: 5 Stars
I BOUGHT THIS WIRELESS MOUSE TO REPLACE THE ONE MY WIFE BOUGHT A FEW YEARS AGO. THE ONE SHE HAD QUIT WORKING AND THE WARRANTY WAS OUT. IT IS VERY EASY TO INSTALL, IT IS PLUG AND PLAY. MY WIFE LOVES THIS MOUSE AND THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT HER A NEW ONE. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THEIR WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOUSE ITSELF IT WAS THE WIRELESS RECEIVER THAT QUIT WORKING. OF COURSE YOU CAN'T BUY THAT SEPARATELY. IF YOU COULD IT WOULD BE A MUCH LESS EXPENSE. NOW MY WIFE HAS TWO WORKING MOUSES, BUT ONLY ONE WORKING WIRELESS RECEIVER. IT IS A SHAME THEY DON'T SELL THE PARTS SEPARATELY. ON A DIFFERENT SUBJECT, I DO LIKE SHOPPING AT AMAZON. THEY HAVE EQUAL OR EVEN LOWER PRICES THAN THE OTHER SELLERS AND THEIR SERVICE HAS BEEN VERY EFFICIENT. (SO FAR). I BUILT MY COMPUTER AND BOUGHT MOST OF THE PARTS FROM AMAZON. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE.
Customer Review: BEST EVER TRACKBALL MOUSE!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using the corded and cordless Trackman Wheel mice for a very very long time now. I love it so much, I keep the wireless at home and have taken the corded trackball mouse with me to every desk job I've had (just 2 jobs in 9 years). It has been a saving grace on my ergonomic wrist pain since my physical therapy for RSI back in 2001. I can't use any other mouse now, it makes perfect sense to keep your arm and wrist still and just roll your thumb around for the cursor and use your fingers to click and scroll. I do prop up the palm end of the mouse on a wrist pad/bump to better the wrist position when I'm mousing. Actually, this allows just my palm to rest on the mouse and my wrist is floating, not in contact with any surface to alleviate any pressure or friction injury relating to RSI or carpal tunnel. I love this mouse style!
