Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless TrackMan WheelCustomer Review: Trackball review Summary: 5 Stars
I orginally purchased this mouse for work as I thought I was suffering from carpel tunnel as I had wrist pain from moving the mouse on the mouse pad. I choose this model as it makes your thumb vs your wrist to all of the work. After a day of getting use to moving the trackball instead of the entire mouse I have loved it ever since, probably about 5 yrs now. I still have the original mouse that I still use to this day at work and now am purchasing one for home use. I will warn any owner of this mouse that as soon as there is the slightest lag in your dragging it's time to change the batteries, the batteries last pretty long also as I don't think I change them out more than 3x a year and that is will 5 days a week 10 hr a day usage. It's totally worth the retraining of your hand and thumb, plus an added bonus is that no one will use your computer if you have this mouse as people cannot figure it out right away.
Customer Review: LOVE THIS MOUSE Summary: 5 Stars
I first had the corded track ball mouse with my old computer. We bought it because I HATED moving the mouse around . I would NEVER go back to a regular mouse. When we bought a newer computer we decided to go with the wireless track ball. Best thing we ever did. I read some of the reviews with complaints about using it with a laptop. I think it was designed for a desk top.My husband bought a wireless for his laptop but it was specifically designed for a laptop. I don't know if Logitech has one for a laptop. I have used the Logitech track ball mouse for about six years and I love the feel. My hand rests comfortable on the mouse. I don't like the ones with the ball on top. I hope they don't do away with the side ball design. We just bought a new computer and it's a Mac. So glad logitech is compatible with Mac. That was the first thing I asked when I bought it. Lol . I didn't want to have to give up my track ball.
Customer Review: Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel for Gamers Summary: 5 Stars
This may be an old style mouse, but the Logitech Cordless TrackMan is still the best mouse for Online Gaming, especially FPS games. I have been using a TrackMan since Windows 3.11 days, and I have tried other types of Mouses, but always go back to my TrackMan. The Ball in the thumb position makes it quicker and easier to aim accurately. I can do a 180 degree "about face" with a slight movement of the thumb. Also the Logitech Cordless Trackman has GREAT durability. My last one I have been using nearly every night for almost 9 years, before the right bottom started to show signs slow reponsiveness from the extremely heavey use I put it thru. I definately got my money's worth out of it, and was HAPPY to see that model is still being made. The fact that the Logitech Cordles TrackMan Wheel Mouse is still being made after all these years, tells me that they made this Mouse right in the first place.
Customer Review: Great option for long term use. Summary: 5 Stars
I had the corded version of the mouse before, and it fit my hand just right. I could use it all day without fatigue. (The middle could be a little less arched, but it's not really worth complaining about). I use a 4000dpi corded laser mouse for more precise things like Photoshop, but sometimes I just want to lean back and put the keyboard on my lap, and the trackball on the arm of the chair and relax a bit. This is a great product provided it fits your hand comfortably, and I would suggest anyone try it. It's durable and well made, and comes with a 5 year warranty. Note that the reciever is rather large, and if you were using it on a laptop that might matter to you (I suppose). The large size might have something to do with the fact the mouse only takes a single AA battery that will last quite a while. Whatever the case, I like it a lot and recommend this cordless trackball.
Customer Review: The right one Summary: 5 Stars
I have used one of these Logitech Trackman devices at work for several years with no problems at all. A while back I was going to buy one for my home computer; however, for some reason the two that I bought from a local business supply both had a minor defect so I returned them and bought a Microsoft verson of this device. The Microsoft unit, after some time got difficult to use. The ball would not roll smoothly and there was no facility for opening the unit and cleaning the ball and the socket. I agonized over this longer than I should have. This recent purchase of the Logitech Trackman was the best thing that I could have done. Should have done it sooner.
Once you get used to a trackball there's no going back. You operate this in place. Why anyone would want a conventional mouse that you have to slide all over your desk is a mystery to me.
