Works great right out of the box. In Windows XP there is no need to install the included software - it will function perfectly without them. If you don't need fancy custom programming don't bother installing the software, you can usually customize the buttons, etc. from within a game anyway. No noticeable lag. The only quirk I noticed is that I also have a Logitech Freedom 2.4 wireless joystick, and in order to play Lego Star Wars with my son I had to unplug the joystick receiver from the computer. For some reason the game would not recognize the gamepad until I disconnected the joystick's receiver. I think this is a problem with the game, not the hardware. The same computer has a Logitech wired gamepad and they coexist perfectly.Customer Review: WORKS WITH MAC!!!

I have a macbook and the description on this page said it works for mac. When I got it said PC in bold letters and had a small cd for installation that does not work with macs. So I was scared that I bought something falsely advertised but I read some reviews and I saw that one guy said it works with his Mac so I opened it up. All I had to do is put the batteries in the controller and plug the usb port in and my wireless controller instantly worked. NO SETUP! I have sixtyforce emulator and it works with that and Macmame but the vibration doesn't. I haven't played it for and other games like Madden so I don't know if the vibration works for that. This controler is a great product. Through the wireless there is no lag, and when you get to start playing with it you hardly notice the little black box on the bottom where the batteries go. When I played the Need For Speed Carbon, I could feel the vibration. This controller makes many games very ralistic. When I scraped my mirrior on the right side of my car, I could feel the vibration on the right side. This is my second controller, my first was Logitech Dual Action Game Pad USB. I'd have to say that this controler is a lot heaver than my first one, but overall this is a good buy.Customer Review: Wireless Rumblepad 2 Is Great

The wireless rumblepad 2 great. I bought it for Race Driver: GRID, but also used it for LEGO Indiana Jones and Mass Effect. Works wonderfully with all the mentioned games. It comes with the Logitech Profiler software, which lets your bind buttons on the rumblepad with key presses, combination's of key presses, and lets the analog stick (either one) be the mouse. The profiler software came in handy for me because I couldn't get Mass Effect to recognize the rumblepad 2, so I bound the rumblepad to keyboard keys.
The only possible down side was that the rumblepad shuts off after a short period of inactivity and a button needs to be pressed in order for it to wake up.

It just feels right, ease of use and the materials are of great quality.
Plus the battery life is outstanding.
I've had it FOR YEARS, since windows XP, then Vista and now Windows 7. Every time I change my operating system I think "this is now outdated and I won't find any drivers", Logitech prove me wrong everytime and I was so happy.
This is almost worth of admiration, Logitech could have made some minor changes and "facelifts" to it and try to sell it again as the "new hot product", but it works so good they just keep building it the way it is. Learn something from this Sony (specially on the camera section)
