Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave SetCustomer Review: Great shape! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the second Cordless Desktop Wave Set from Logitech that I have purchased. I literally wore the first one out! What I first liked about it was the unusual keyboard key placement. As I used it, I realized that it fits the way I hold my hands on a keyboard much better than one that is perfectly straight - it's more natural. I do a LOT of typing as a transcriber and comfort is paramount to me! This keyboard is a godsend. The buttons on the side of the mouse allow me to go page back and page forward with a click. The shape is great for my small hand, but also would be good for larger hands. The touch is light on the keys, allowing for better speed of typing, another plus for me. I don't use all the fancy buttons on the keyboard, but the shape and comfort is why I went back for a second one!
Customer Review: Works with Linux out of box Summary: 5 Stars
I had 15 years of using the Microsoft split keyboard before it died. But I'd rather not give my money to MS any longer. I have always liked Logitech trackballs. I bought the Wave keyboard and gave the mouse to a family member. I ordered a Logitech Cordless trackball at the same time as this keyboard.
I love this keyboard. It is more comfortable than the MS split layout, more attractive and worked with Ubuntu Linux right out of the box. Simple as plug it in, push the connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard and there you go. Some of the hot keys don't work in Linux, but the music control keys work.
Cons: no led to indicate caps lock or num lock on.
Pros: everything else about it.
Oh, it also works with Vista.
Customer Review: Wireless-hassle free key board Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this keyboard used without the software thinking I was going to have to download the software but as soon as I put the batteries in and plugged the receiver into the USB port my 4 year old laptop running XP recognized it right away and it works perfectly. The keyboard has a good solid feel made from good materials. The only down side to this keyboard is that it isn't back lit. You can't see the keyboard in the dark. The mouse works on all the surfaces I have tired it on. The handle back button on the mouse is great, that was a great idea. Feels really good in your hand. I have not tried any of the programmable buttons but I don't intend on using them. For about $40 with shipping I strongly recommend this keyboard and mouse set.
Customer Review: This keyboard rocks! Summary: 5 Stars
I am so in love with this keyboard and mouse! Logitech has really outdone themselves here! The keyboard is bigger than I anticipated and has plenty of room at the bottom to rest your wrists.Extreamly comfortable, quiet(no clicking keys) and spacious, the cadillac of keyboards! The best part of all,NO MISSED KEY STROKES!! I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to finally be able to type at full speed without having to worry about missing keys! This keyboard replaced a wireless Kensington that forever gave me headaches with missed key strokes. The mouse is equally well made, precise, slim and easily fits in the hand. The beautiful sleek design and functionality of this keyboard/mouse combo have made me a firm beliver in the quality Logitech!!
Customer Review: The best keyboard and mouse set I've ever had Summary: 5 Stars
I got so used to Logitech Wave keyboard and mouse set at home that I had to get another one for my workplace because the company issued one was hard on my wrists. The Wave is very easy to get used to--it's not like typical ergonomic keyboards that have a very different layout. This one feels very comfortable because it is formed to fit your natural hand shape. The main reason that I got turned onto this set is because it's compatible with Mac OS and Windows Vista. I had my Mac set-up so that I could switch over to Vista using Bootcamp. With my previous Microsoft brand keyboard set, I couldn't use it with Vista because it wasn't compliant. The Wave set was clearly labeled to work with all the major operating systems.
