Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave SetCustomer Review: Comfy and words with my Mac! Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little reluctant to try this keyboard - not because of the brand, but because of the wave.
Frankly, I didn't see how that could work. I was tired of typing on my iMac keyboard, and wanted something ergonomically-friendly, but wasn't certain this was the solution. Logitech is a terrific brand - and there were few choices for a Mac user like myself. I decided to try it mainly because of the brand and a $20 mail-in rebate - which, of course, I forgot to send in on time.
Everyone in the household LOVES this keyboard - including myself. The fit is amazing. Typing is so comfortable now, and it definitely cuts down on wrist problems. The mouse is a little large - which was an immediate concern - but after working with it, I really like it. It took a bit to get used to the different mouse functions. The commend center software is a little fickle with me, but overall it works great.
The keyboard functions are just like my Mac keyboard and very easy to use. I really like the zoom function on the left.
The "cover" for the keyboard isn't a cloth one, as I was expecting, but the heavy plastic used in shipping. It actually work great to protect the keyboard and isn't so large that I cannot slide the keyboard tray beneath the desk at night.
One thing you should do before buying: Measure your keyboard tray. This is a large keyboard, mainly because the wrist guard is built in. Be sure your tray is long and wide enough to fit it. My tray measures 29 inches long and a foot wide. It holds both the keyboard and a mouse on a gel wrist guard.
I use OSX Leopard and have had no issues.
Customer Review: Excellent desktop set Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned many keyboards over the years mostly Microsoft but including a Logitech a few years back. My present set-up, a basic wired MS business set, was working fine but I felt I wanted something newer and better. After research the Logitech Wave seemed a good choice -- and I'm highly pleased with it. It's quieter and more solid than the MS system. It has a useful range of additional keys. The MS was 'clacky' by comparison.
One feature of the software I like is the ability to disable Caps Lock - no more unnoticed strings of capitals. NumLock and selected other keys can also be disabled.
I adapted quickly to the Wave layout; it seems easier to type with compared to the MS keyboard. I don't have difficulty with the larger Delete key. The wrist-rest is not detachable -- this is fine although it does make the keyboard fairly deep.
I had a MS wireless keyboard in the past but this is better. The USB transmitter is small and works fine out of sight behind my PC. An extender is supplied if you should need one.
I'm left handed so I need a symmetrical mouse, which this is. It's more responsive than the MS mouse and has an on|off switch underneath to save the batteries. The batteries supplied were high-quality alkalines rather than the cheap Chinese zinc-carbons often supplied with this type of gear. A minor issue with the mouse is that I tend to click the 'back' button accidentally when going for the left button. I did this on the MS keyboard too so it must be me -- I have large hands.
A quality product, well designed and a good price. I'm happy to reccomend it.
Customer Review: Look no further! Summary: 5 Stars
I am embarrassed to admit how many keyboards I have used over the years (some provided by my employer), including 2 previous Logitech keyboards-- the LX710 and MX3200. One issue I have had is delay, given the fact that I type very fast. Another is horizontal scrolling in Windows Explorer within folders with many files (previous models jumped to end or to beginning, making scrolling impossible). I fully concur with the reviewer who stated that this is the best keyboard ever. I have yet to experience a delay in typing, undoubtedly thanks to the product's 2.4 Ghz technology, and this is one comfortable keyboard. In addition, the software allows for considerable flexibility in assigning functions to keyboard shortcuts, e.g., instead of "Gadgets" I am able to open my MP3 folder with the touch of a key. Two AA batteries for the keyboard instead of the four that the MX3200 required, and only one for the mouse, are additional pluses. The mouse is very comfortable and has useful functions not found on others: hyper fast vs. click-to-click scrolling, side-to-side scrolling, battery indicator light, etc. At Amazon's almost 50% discount over retail, this is one of the best products that you will buy. As I stated above: "look no further." And, by the way, Logitech's support is outstanding. Even though I might sound like one, I am not nor have ever been a Logitech employee. Just a consumer who finally found a product that is really exceptional.
Comment added 9-06-09: Logitech's support is outstanding when you reach it. I was on hold 45 minutes the last time I called with a minor question.
Customer Review: Coolest Design - Best of Ergonomics Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I am sitting at my desk and I'm typing this review on one of the coolest keyboards I've seen. There is so much flow to the design of this keyboard, so much essence to the textures of the hand rests that one has to stop for a second and admire the creativity of its designers. This keyboard was made with one thing in mind - comfort. My hands are resting, my fingers are floating/almost hovering over the keys and it makes me smile - it is as if I'm actually learning again how to type.
This isn't all. The palm rest of the keyboard is adjustable to three different positions. I can't feel any stress on my fingers or arms and am yet to experience fatigue (although I am very doubtful I ever will). There are one-touch hot keys that I can use to access various Windows Vista features on my PC, like the photo gallery or the zoom. Oh and I set up my F-keys to instantly open up some of my bookmarked web sites, a few games, and some folders I use often. I read in the booklet that both the keyboard and mouse provide very long battery life and also there is an LED battery indicators to alert me when to change the batteries.
So what are you waiting for? Writers, teachers, gamers, moms, all: I highly recommend this set to you. You can't go wrong with COMFORT AND COOL.

Customer Review: Awesome Feel and Design!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this keyboard for work. My job consist of sitting in front of a computer all day using the mouse and keyboard heavily. I changed out a stock dell keyboard and laser mouse, that were wire based. HUGE difference.
Comparison:
I have a similir keyboard made by microsoft that I use at home, and the microsoft one doesn't compare to this one. The keyboard gets excellent range, i've gone across the office and typed to see if it would work, and surprisingly enough it did, whereas my microsoft keyboard will cut out about 5ft away.
Comfort:
This keyboard and mouse itself took me about a day or so to get used to it, mainly because it takes just a little bit to get used to the fact that the keyboard is conformed to fit the user and not the other way around. The keys themselves have excellent response when your typing, it's a quiet keyboard but you still have the feeling that you're typing unlike some quiet keyboards that feel like you're pushing your fingers in dough. The mouse itself also is conformed to fit your hand, and is very smooth when scrolling or just moving the pointer across the monitor.
Conclusion:
Although the keyboard/mouse are a little pricey, it is well worth the money. This is especially true if you are required to use them all day at work. If you're on the fence as to whether or not you should purchase this product, I can tell you that you definitely should, you won't be disappointed.
