I wanted a cordless keyboard, but missed the numeric keyboard that came from Apple. I never liked the Apple mouse, and have been using my Logitech Cordless Trackman Wheel. Have not really used the mouse that comes with the S530, but it is okay. The keyboard works fine. Lots of quick launch buttons that can be easily programed. Only real disadvantage is you have to use one of the 3 USB ports on the back of the iMac for the transmitter. Also, to set up the software, you need to download the newest version from the Logitech web site, but that was easy. All the controls for all logitech products are now found in the System Preferences of the Mac . They are listed on the bottom as "other" and it is called Logitech Control Center. That works great and you can set up all your Logitech devices easily. Overall, although it is hard to get excited about a keyboard, I have been very happy, and I am glad I bought it.Customer Review: LOGITECH = BEST (its been my experience)

You won't be disappointed! I've had a logitech wireless keyboard for the past few years. I needed to get a new one for my studio. I made the BIG mistake of buying a kensington wireless. I was sadly disappointed from the moment it came out of the box (keyboard sticks and stinks, mouse wasn't working properly & needed troubleshooting all the time).
A few months later, I've gone and purchased this logitech wireless keyboard. Its BEAUTIFUL and works like a charm. It makes me want to type, the keys just melt below my fingers. And its SO FUNCTIONAL, I love how I can edit so many buttons on the keyboard and the mouse, not to mention I love that the MOUSE has volume control built in. My only wish is that it came standard with rechargeable batteries and a charging base like my classy "logitech cordless desktop". Reduce battery waste by encouraging the use of rechargeables!

The Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 is a great keyboard/mouse combination for macs. The keyboard has great extras such as play/pause, open iTunes, Mail, Safari, among a few others - the only downside is that they are not customizable.
Another great features of the keyboard is that its full size, much unlike the newer Apple wireless keyboards. I'm a fan of full size keyboards, which is why I purchased one of these for my Macbook, not the small, notebook sized keyboard that Apple sells as its wireless variety.
The mouse is great, it is very precise and very comfortable to use. It too has extra buttons which make it useful, but as with the keyboard, the only downside is that the buttons are not customizable.
Overall, this is a great product, and I would recommend it to anyone who owns a mac and is looking for a new mouse & keyboard.

The Logitech Desktop S530 Keyboard/Laser Mouse combo is an excellent alternative to the VERY expensive MAC keyboard/mouse combo. The keyboard has all the normal MAC buttons, as opposed to being laid out like a Windows keyboard, and is thin and has a very sold feel to it. Actually includes a number of functional keys (media play/pause/stop, volume, speaker mute, along with the normal functions you get with a Windows keyboard but not typically on a MAC keyboard. Plus it has the full numeric keypad built in which is, again, not typical of the MAC keyboard. The laser mouse is what we've grown to expect from Logitech..that being a very comfortable mouse with scroll, back/forward, and even has volume control built in...and is a very accurate mouse! If you're in the market for either a replacement or initial MAC keyboard...this is the package to get!Customer Review: Great Keyboard and Mouse!

This keyboard and mouse have been wonderful. It is an upgrade to the standard mouse and keyboard that come with the Apple desktop computers. I'm a writer/editor, and after a while of typing, my wrists would hurt from the upward slant of the Apple keyboard. But, with this keyboard, I'm able to type for hours a day with no pain whatsoever becasue this keybaord is so thin and flat. I like the look of the Apple Keyboard and Mighty mouse better, but the ease of use and comfort that I have using this keybaord and mouse far suprasses. The mouse conforms to my hand well and has all the functionality that I need. The butttons for launching applications are placed in weird spots, but after a little while you get used to them. If you are looking for a keyboard/mouse upgrade, then look no further. It is a great product for the price.
