Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Controller for Xbox

Customer Review: Great...except for two joystick problems
Summary: 4 Stars

This cordless controller is absolutely top of the line, except for the joysticks. As other reviewers have mentioned, if you play games on a regular basis, then the pad on the left joystick will wear off in a few months (the right one will probably wear off too, but I hardly ever use it). Also, Logitech put a green plastic covering just under the joystick pads, ostensibly to keep dust and dirt from getting inside the controller. That's a great idea, but the first thing to go on my joystick was the green plastic. The plastic under the left joystick broke and the little pieces that I was unable to pick out sometimes interfered with the joystick movement. This problem really isn't any big deal, however, because it didn't take long for the pieces to fall out.

I haven't noticed any problem with re-centering. I also have never experienced a lag problem.

Except for the joystick issues, which are really more of an annoyance than anything else, the Logitech cordless is a great product.

Customer Review: NOT BAD AT ALL...The BEST of the WIRELESS !!!
Summary: 4 Stars

The wireless funciton is unbeatable...There's NEVER any lag in the function and I love that about this controller. It has been nice to be wireless, too. However, I have had a problem with it. The left stick makes an annoying clicking sound. Since this is the primary option to move people and steer cars, it is a huge bummer for me. It also would send a continuous signal, with that same stick, making the car, or person I was playing, to keep moving to the left or right for several seconds. This is not good because by the time the game stopped receiving the wrong signal I was either dead or had crashed the car. For those reasons I returned the controller, which Amazon.com has made very easy to do and I thank them for that. I probably just received a faulty controller and not all of them do this.
Overall...This controller is flawless in its wireless capabilities and I probably just got a bad one in regards to the problems I had with mine.

Customer Review: Logitech Cordless Controller
Summary: 4 Stars

The near perfection of the Controller S pretty much renders third-party controllers worthless, at least corded models. Microsoft still hasn't provided an official wireless pad and has not indicated that anything is in the works. The fact that it's extremely difficult for a wireless system to transmit so much (Xbox Live) data in an energy conserving way probably has something to do with it. And Xbox Live remains a problem for any wireless controller. Though this Logitech pad cannot be used with Xbox Live -- it lacks a memory card slot for the headset -- it is an outstanding little device. You get everything you need for effective gaming without the tether: flawless communication, excellent general design, long battery life, and rumble feedback. If you have a large room, or simply want to clean up your gaming area by skipping the wires, then the Logitech pad should be your weapon of choice. It's expensive, but worth every cent.

Customer Review: Great shape, good quality.
Summary: 4 Stars

I love this controller. I have small hands for an adult, and the pad fits me well. I like the shape better than even the now-standard Controller S shape. I have no problems with delay or drift. I haven't used the D-pad, but the thumbsticks and buttons work great, though I'm not a terribly heavy user. This pad works better than either the Pelican Eclipse or Soul that I own. My Madcatz Lynx is better, but way too big for my hands. I like the feel of the plastic. The only thing I would change would be making the thumbsticks a bit shorter and concave on top, though I've never had a problem with grip.

Customer Review: Perfect...Except For One Flaw
Summary: 4 Stars

This controller is great. It frees you from those messy,tangle-prone wires. The controller is similar to the Japanese Xbox controller (Controller S) except that it is a little wider, and heavier. The Left/Right triggers are a little harder to press,though...

I had one problem though.I play Xbox Live a lot,and you probably know that you use a communicator headset, which plugs into the controller. There is no expansion/memory card plug-in on the controller. It's on the wireless reciever,on your Xbox. This controller is perfect for offline play,but...You know.
