I bought this after considering several options for headsets. After having used it heavily, I can confidently say Logitech has impressed me with this one.
Pros:
1. Crystal clear sound,
2. Quick, automatic driver installation,
3. Simple and accurate mic configuration instructions,
4. Solid compatibility with Vista,
5. Works perfectly with Skype, and
6. Has a very comfortable fit (feels great even after using it for hours at a time).
Cons:
1. Nothing yet, but I'll keep you posted. :)
Strongly recommended. It may cost a little more than the average headset, but it's definitely worth it.

I've been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to dictate for about 10 years or more. I really don't like the microphone that comes with the Dragon product, so I have experimented with various mics. My favorite by far is the Logitech USB Clear Chat. I love it! It's really comfortable, doesn't slide around and is very accurate.
The only drawback to this microphone is that it dies on me once a year. That's probably because I do extensive dictation every day. I usually buy extended warranties but when I buy it on Amazon, I can't do that. That's my only complaint. Otherwise I'm delighted with this product.

I've had the chance to use these headphones several times and they have worked very well. I didn't want to spend a fortune, which I didn't, yet didn't want to get something so cheap it falls apart easily, which it didn't. The sound quality seems to be very good so far. I have not yet used it with Skype or webcasting software therefore did not rate those categories, and gave a midrange durability only because I have not had them long enough to truly know how durable the product is.
I would definitely recommend these headphones for anyone not wanting to spend a fortune for a good set.

I was searching for a USB headset that would work well with a language learning lab. So it needed to have the clearest sound and a sensitive mic. The difficult part is that you can't try out different sets because of their packaging, so you take your chances. Price is a factor too and these sets can and do get pricey, especially the better ones. This Logitech, like many of their products which Ive owned in the past fit the bill perfectly and I highly recommend it. This is required for NYU online classes for Live Classroom (Wimba). Did the test of the software wih Wizard on the Epsilen Website - site that NYU and/or other colleges/universities for online classes. Sound was great! You can hear your own voice. For the testing you hear your voice in playback. Will be using it for the class. Let's see what happens for the next Live Classroom - synchronous online class session for NYU Translation for International Organizations class. This headset also works for listening to music. Maybe it might work for MSN Windows Live Messenger too.
