I got the Logitech AudioHub Notebook Speakers to use on my 15-inch laptop, since the built in computer speakers are not-so-good. The AudioHub speakers arrived very well packaged with almost every surface was covered with protective plastic.
The speakers are easy to set up and use. They require external power, so they must be plugged into the wall. I connected it to my computer with the included USB cable and in about twenty seconds, the speakers were working.
The speaker has a big, light-up orange volume knob on the side. The size of the speakers is adjustable, so they will fit behind bigger sized notebooks. Also, there are three extra USB ports on the side, which is a nice added feature. The speakers even come with an included stand for attaching a web cam, but this stand can be easily removed if not used.
The sound of the speakers is impressively good. I was surprised with how good the sound was, considering the price and size of the speakers. Overall, these speakers are an excellent audio solution for a notebook computer.

I have Logitech X-140 speakers for my desktop and found that these speakers actually sound a little better. The "AudioHub", as Logitech is calling it, is just the right size for carrying a concise, solid sound system with your notebook/laptop. The left/right speakers adjust to fit any size laptop with a long power cord and integrated USB cable for your laptop. There are extra USB ports behind the speaker for convenience and an attachment for a webcam. It's all very compact, but I thought the sound was better than most systems this size. Although the sub-woofer is only 3" in diameter, there is an open port to allow air mass fluctuation for maximum bass. The two 2" tweeters are crisp and clear. The volume control is conveniently located to the side and adjusts `all' sound. Note that this is not a high powered sound machine (15 watts), but it is about perfect for a transient computer system. Once again, Logitech has designed a system that is appropriate for personal laptop use and the price is very reasonable.Customer Review: Logitech does it again!

This speaker system for notebooks was really easy to set up. You plug it into an electrical outlet, you plug the USB port into your notebook, you turn the power switch on the speaker system and you are ready to go - the software was automatically recognized by my IBM ThinkPad X60 with Windows XP. I had this up and running within 5 minutes of opening the box. It doesn't get any easier then that! The speakers themselves are pretty good quality. I blasted music and the volume got very loud (when used in connection with PCs volume setting) with little to no distortion. This speaker system is not portable but it takes up little space on my desk. When I use my laptop elsewhere, I missed the speakers and the existing system seemed sooo weak by comparision. I've gotten cheaper speakers with the same quality (Creative Labs) but they were not as simple to install.

The Logitech Audio is a great piece of hardware. Not only is it a speaker system for your laptop (or desktop), but it is also a USB hub (it has 3 USB ports on it). Although not exactly portable, it is smaller than most 2.1 systems. It is the perfect size for a dorm, which is exactly what I bought it for. Most importantly, for the price I bought it for ($30 on circuitcity.com), the sound is mesmerizing. The bass is slightly lacking, but I cannot complain; there's still bass but not surface-shaking bass. The sound is crystal-clear and it is a HUGE improvement over the terrible speakers on laptops. The better the quality of the mp3 or movie you are playing, the better the sound output will be and the more you will appreciate it. The volume definitely fills a dorm room up. It's incredible how loud it can get without getting so distorted. I use this for my MacBook and setup is easy. Just plug it in a USB port, then plug in the power cord, and change your sound output to the AudioHub in the System preferences. You're done in about 2-4 minutes. Listening to music on laptop speakers is just an awful experience. I'm got a MacBook and if you listen to talk radio on iTunes, then they're okay, but music, you need to turn up. At home it's no problem, I've got a great system, but I do a lot of writing in motel room sand those tinny, tiny speakers don't really cut it and for some reason I can't write a lick with headphones on, jog yes, write no.
So, when the UPS girl delivered these speakers I was kind of jazzed. Yes, it's one more thing for me to load up into my car when I hit the highway, but they are worth the effort. I set them up behind my machine, plug in my shorty USB cable and sound-wise I'm good to go. I really like how I can adjust the speakers so that they peak perfectly around the sides of my machine.
Yes, they don't sound as good as the system I have at home, but they sound plenty good to me. Now when I sit down to write those thousand words I try to pull out of myself everyday, I rock out to great music. Yep, me on the road, these speakers are a great way to go, cool sounds in cold motel rooms. Such a deal.
