Customer Review: Perfect for MacBook Pro bed use

I specifically purchased this product because other online reviews indicated that it fit the 15 inch MacBook Pro unibody notebook computer.

This review is based on use of the Logitech Alto Express Notebook Stand on a lap desk, similar to the one in this link: HandStands Laptop Lap Desk Mat Pad - Comfortable laptop computing. I wanted something that would allow me to comfortably use my laptop while lying in bed. The lap desks are great but unless they have an adjustable slant the ergonomics are terrible for use while lying down.

However; with the Logictech stand it is easy for me to type, navigate and watch tv/movies on my laptop while in bed.

Looks - 5 out of 5 - Great one piece construction looks nice even though it's just plastic and rubber.

Ease of use - 5 out of 5 - No moving parts, this means is is not adjustable though. The rubber strips keep the stand from slipping and/or scratching finished surfaces.

Ergonomics - 5 out of 5 FANTASTIC! Again, this is great when combined with a lap desk in bed. The user can practically lie flat on his or her back and comfortably view or type on the laptop.

Value - 5 out of 5 - Based on a price point of $19.99 or less. This stand retails from $19 to $39. Unless you have a medical condition and have to have this item right away please do not buy it for more than $20. It is nice and it works but it isn't worth more than $20 - molded plastic with rubber strips.

Versatility - Fits our three different kinds of Mac notebooks (Pro Aluminum, Unibody, and ibook). Also it can be used on your lap while but I recommend a lap desk for additional stability.

By the way: I purchased three wood top, soft padded lap desks from Target for approximately $10 each.
