I purchased this webcam because it is one of the only notebook webcams with a 2 megapixel camera that I could find and because of the great price and good reviews. I am very pleased with my purchase. It was incredibly easy to setup. I like that it comes with the stand too. The picture is great. I use the camera to communicate with my brother-in-law who is currently stationed in Afghanistan and have not experienced any problems with image quality.Customer Review: great cam

Using this with a 2009 Mac Mini, running the very latest release (as of the date of this review) of Snow Leopard. Cam works perfectly fine with Skype and AIM. I use it clipped on the supplied vertical stand. It would probably clip to my monitor but I like being able to move the stand around (as needed at times during chats). Read the other positive reviews for any techy details. I can't find any reason to not recommend this unit. Big thumbs up.Customer Review: From the other end

I bought this for a girlfriend so we could video chat while I was away. Having been disappointed in the video quality of cheaper web cams in the past I decided to spend a little more since *I* wanted to see better quality and am very happy with this web cam. The quality is very good especially over Skype. It focuses nicely and works great in lower light situations.
If you care what the other person sees, this is a great choice.

I bought one of these for my Laptop and found out with the included stand I could use it on my PC too. I've seen the same item for a LOT more money. I think It's well worth the money , easy to install, takes GREAT Photo's and I am Glad I Looked here at Amazon before I bought one somewhere else....I was also impressed with the BOX It came in!!! I love this webcam. Clear image, takes great pictures and videos. Great value for the inexpensive price. I only wish the wire was a little longer, like twice the length. This length would help when trying to capture something just out of range without bringing your laptop with you. The stand is ok, can topple easily; considering again the length of the wire.
I'm happy to own it. I will try and find an extension cable.
