I debated between this camera and the cheaper logitech model. When I talk to my friends over the web cam, they say this model has really good resolution most of the time. It also has some fun features that make web cam conversations more entertaining. I had heard complaints that the camera is unsteady when clipped on the computer, but I've had this problem maybe twice in the last 2 months (and I use my camera almost daily). The web cam was easy to install and easy to use with Skype. I'm not sure if it was worth the extra $30 dollars more than the cheaper models, but it's a good camera all the same.Customer Review: Excellent camera, software could be better

This webcam is really nice. It is easy to use and the image quality is excellent; the auto-focusing and light adjustment have exceeded my expectations. It has a nice design, too, and is easy to mount on top of your laptop.
While it is not reason enough not to buy the camera, I do think the software could be improved a little; I use the webcam during internet calls and anytime the webcam is turned on, another window (webcam program) opens. You can close it but it opens again later. The window is small, but it cannot be minimized or moved to the background; that is slightly annoying.

We've been using this camera for over a year now and have zero negative things to say about it. Others who see our video through Skype (what we use it for primarily) report really clear picture and tracking. We did not install the software that came with the camera but just plugged it into our Win XP computer. It works flawlessly. When we want to take it with us on a trip, it packs neatly into its small carry pouch.
We like this so much that we have recommended it and bought it for others in our family. We highly recommend it and would buy another if it ever stops working.

Love this webcam. I travel all the time and it's fantastic quality. When my daughter grows up, she'll love the avatars!! It was also very easy to install. I purchased the Logitech Deluxe for my wife and then purchased this one 5 days later when I found out that Avatars do not work with the Deluxe version.
You won't be dissapointed. It's very portable and my friends get a great laugh when I use the various face accessories. Logitech allows its owners to download new ones from its website, as they are created and publised - it's great!

I was dreading opening up the box and installing this webcam. I don't typically have much patience for even slightly complex installations or troubleshooting problems. I was shocked at how incredibly quick and easy this installation was. I think it took me longer to get scissors and open the plastic package than it took to intall this and begin using Skype.
The picture quality seems good to me, significantly better than the webcams of the people I call.
The clip that attaches the webcam to the laptop is good as well.
