It works as advertised. No problems so far. The product is just the little black box that converts 5.1 systems from your standard AV cables. No cables included. I wish this item just came with the logitech z-5300 speakers that I bought. Even though the z-5300's come with its own game adapter, it only converter 2.1 to the standard AV. But thats another story.
Overall, its another excellent product from logitech. This adapter works as it should and a really great value.

After being a PC video gamer for many years, I had invested most of my money into PC accessories. Then when I stepped up to the power of a PS3 and BluRay, I wasn't ready to purchase completely new surround sound equipment. I hated that I couldn't use my Logitech PC Surround Sound Speakers -- but then I came across $3.25 add-on.
Now I can use my PS3, BluRay, and switch over to my iPod any time I want!!!

Came pre-packaged in a surround sound set of computer speakers. Used this adapter to hook the speakers up to the output of my TV, and it's worked great for several years now as a cheap TV surround sound system. The adapter does what it's supposed to.
Don't expect surround-sound quality, as I don't believe the front/back signals can go through RCA, but left/right will sound find, and the sound is equally distributed between front and back.

I needed a way to watch my movies in surround on my PS3 using Vuze. These don't actually upstream the music to surround they just let all the speakers work with the system which was really all I needed. To actually have it in surround you need a special audio cable/adapter made for PS3.
All in all I was happy with my purchase. You cannot use your PC Speakers on your TV / PS3 without this module. I hope they never stop making these!

I bought this adapter for my Logitec spesakers. I have an iMac, and to get around the lack of video inputs, I bought a TV tuner with S-video inputs. This was perfect to play my XBOX 360 on my 24" iMac, only one problem.... no sound. I found this adapter and bought it, and it did just the trick. Works perfect!. I think it is stupid that the speakers don't come with this in the first place, but whatever. Highly Recommended!
