As with almost every other Logitech product, this one doesn't disappoint. While it is almost twice as expensive as its nearest competitor, it is worth every penny.
Installation was a snap and required no additional drivers. Volume control is an innovative feature, even though most powerpoint presentations don't have embedded audio or video. The Laser pointer is useful as well and goes a long distance, which is handy when you are presenting in a large room.
Also, I liked the range that I could use it at. It does in fact work up to 50 feet as long as you don't have any large object obstructing the signal from the hand held remote.
Overall, I think it is a great buy and looks like has secured a permanent place in my laptop bag for years to come.

I started moving my lectures to PowerPoint this year, and I wanted a remote for my laptop. After doing my homework, this was the best value for the money, and included the most important features that I was looking for in one package. It uses RF, so the range is excellent and is non-directional. It has controls to start/stop the presentation, exit the presentation, volume, and a laser pointer. It has a timer that will count down from 60 minutes to 0 and vibrate as the stop time approaches. The display indicates battery strength, and time remaining 2 ways -- raw time and a progress bar along the bottom. The batteries last forever, and the price is fair. I would highly reccommend this to anyone who uses multimedia content for teaching or professional presentations.Customer Review: Great tool, must have for all presenters

The Logitech 2.4GHz Cordless Presenter is an incredible tool.
What I liked the most:
- The timing feature allows you to keep track of your presentation length, this is very nice because you can check your time left and nobody will notice you.
- It worked well with my PC and Macintosh (both PowerPoint and KeyNote).
- The laser pointer is very helpful.
- All of the controls are very easy to use.
- The mute/unmute feature works great.
What I disliked:
- The plug-and-play USB receiver took longer to be recognized in some systems.
- I wish the little case have had a belt clip.
- I wish when you stop the presentation it had a "resume feature" vs. always going back to the beginning.

I make frequent presentations during a month, often times even one presentation a week, so having a practical wireless presenter is very important. The buttons and functions of each buttons are ergonometrically configured on the unit and offer the perfect set of options presenters need; this even has one that "blacks" the screen so you could hold a brief discussion without the distraction of having something on the screen. Furthermore, determining the function of each button is instantaneous...more so than other wireless presenters I have used in the past where you have to determine the functions of the buttons by "trial and error"...not a good thing for a presenter. Ease of use is top for this unit...I wouldn't make a presentation without it.Customer Review: professional opinion

I don't like reading positive reviews from people who have only recently purchased a product because they haven't had it long enough to know how it's going to last. I am a professional speaker who travels around the nation and the world presenting seminars using PowerPoint. I have had two different controllers in the past, and I did a lot of research to obtain this new one. I bought this one about 6 months ago, and it has operated flawlessly! This one lives up to all of the "five star" claims I read here before purchasing it. It is a perfect size, and the built-in timer/vibrator works like a charm. In fact, others in my profession have asked to see this unit once my seminar was finished, and many have purchased it right away.
