Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech 2.4 GHz Cordless Presenter (Black)

Customer Review: 2 Years of Use and Still Working
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this item two years ago; and I still use it 16 - 32 hours per month.

This item has traveled the world, been dropped, tossed, abused, and it still works just fine.

The battery life is incredible. I've changed batteries two times in two years.

The only complaint I have is that if you use it enough, you will accidentally hit the volume up and down buttons which will then make your computer change volume and beep.

If you want something simple and is a basic presenter - this is it.

I've tried the high-tech in-air mice Logitech MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse, Kensington's presenters, the Microsoft presenter mouse, and I always keep coming back to this one - it just works.

Customer Review: Love This Thing!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely LOVE THIS THING!!! I use it in a classroom and it works flawlessly from every angle... even from in my pocket across the hall! I love the case and that the antenna stores seamlessly in the back. Amazing product!

The timer feature is a bit gimmicky to me and I could live without it. The 5-minute-only increments make using it kind of pointless and I tend not to feel the vibration when Im heavily into running my mouth, but that's just me.

Plug it in and it just works out the box flawlessly on XP, Vista, OS X, and Ubuntu Linux using PowerPoint and OpenOffice Presenter since they are just simple keymappings. Likely works in Keynote too but I havent tested that yet. I've even re-done the keybindings in VLC so I can use it to navigate through DVDs. Works great!

Customer Review: Very useful - love the small design
Summary: 5 Stars

I work in sales and am giving presentations all the time. My husband bought this cordless pointer, loaned it to me for an important presentation and I immediately went online and bought one. I LOVE it!

It's so simple to use too. No software required which means you can use it with *any* laptop on the fly. It's wireless so all one needs to do is plug in the USB wireless point (the size of a miniature USB drive; it's used to communicate with the pointer) into the back of the source laptop.

Turn on the pointer and you're ready to go. With it, one can advance presentations, time themselves with the embedded timer and also use the handy laser (red dot) pointer for emphasis on key points.

The only drawback is the price - it's not cheap. In fact, the one I bought was "gently used".

Customer Review: Coredless Presenter
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very functional and useful gadget. I use it for teaching and it is nice to be able to move around the classroom and not be tied to the computer. Some nice features are the laser pointer and the "black screen" button. We tried out the cheaper step down from this model, but that one had an awkward small button for the laser pointer. This model has nice sized buttons that are easy to use and won't make your finger tired or numb. This model also has a built-in timer and a vibrate notification for the timer (I haven't used them though). We actually purchased 3 of them for our department. We had concerns of them interfering with one another, but each unit is specific for it's receiver, so no need to worry about the presenter in the next room changing your slides. Would highly recommend this cordless presenter.

Customer Review: Logitech Cordless Presenter vs. MS Presenter 3000
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a lecturer who likes to move around freely, i.e. up to a good five meters away from my laptop. I first bought an MS Presenter 3000, without consulting any rewiews, I stumbled over it in the store and on the package a suitable range was promised. I found myself restricted to about 1.5 meters around the laptop for reliable use. I nevertheless used it for some time but got annoyed more and more. I found out that I am not the only person having troubles with this device. So I did not even gave the MS Presenter a second try through replacement, but - before bringing it back for cash refund, to be able to make a 1:1 comparison - I bought a Logitech Cordless 2.4 GHz Presenter for about double the price. It was worth it. With the same batteries, the Logitech Presenter has a reliable range of at least 10 meters
