I read most of the reviews and bought one. It arrived today and I gave it a try. It exceeded my expectations. The positives mentioned by others is worth reiterating.
- No drivers required - true plug & play
- Blazing speed, didn't see any lag what so ever between clicking and seeing the page update. I kept the button pressed, and the slides were moving at blazing speed. Great wireless technology!
- weight, size, feel, texture all perfect
- Fewer buttons are easy to memorize and feel'able', hence you won't be looking for them or be confused during delivery.
- nice 'click' feel of the buttons for positive feedback
- laser is very powerful and bright - don't agree with another reader who mentioned 'weak' laser. Nice bright red dot and the strength I tried with almost 50 to 60ft away was still bright and strong.
- The timer is actually very convenient and useful. I am an MBA student as well as a Product Manager and both tasks require me to present very often and staying time-bound is a great benefit
- overall very well thought-out design. I didn't have to read the manual for anything. Even setting/resetting the timer was intuitive. Logitech - great job!

Thought I would update this review, just for the kick of it, even though it is not available anymore. The presenter still works just as good as the 1st day. I have been through many presentations, worldwide, and no issues at all. Thanks Logitech for a great quality product. Every bit of quality on every product goes a long way in building brand loyalty. Don't compromise on quality, at any cost. It pays for itself in due course.

I bought this remote because it has a timer with vibrate alarm and conveniently a laser pointer built in. I have not been disappointed at all - actually, I love it. It is comfortable in your hand (great size for a womans hand; no fumbling for the buttons) and the buttons are easy to find without looking at the remote. The unique design of the buttons with different functions gives you no doubt which button is what. And you don't need to stretch to use the laser pointer and you won't hit the black screen by accident. Thus you can concentrate on your presentation. And contrary to many other remotes, this works in an intuitive non-confusing way. It is very easy to use, also as you can just plug it in anytime and start. Its longer range lets you move about in the room as you present.
I like that with a quick click, one can extend the timer value in increments of 5 minutes. The vibrate alarm warns you 5 minutes and 2 minutes before time is up (and when the set time expires).
The batteries last longer as you can turn it on/off. I have had it for a year and have still more than 80% battery power left (there is even a battery indicator!)
The one backdraw: the count-down clock is NOT backlit - you cannot see the timer if room lights are dimmed. So far I have not found it a huge inconvenience, however.
Bottom line: It works *very* well as powerpoint remote with timer and laser pointer. It's the best one I have used/borrowed by far. I can highly recommend it for most types of presentations (there is no mouse-button [hence, less confusing], but there is actually a volume button for showing media clip with audio.)

I have used several different remotes over the years and this is by far the best one yet. I do not need the mouse capabiity so did not go for that feature. This remote does everything I need and easily. I love the more visible off/on button to save on battery life. The battery indicator is a great feature so you know when the batteries are low. It is easy to install and use and the button placement is convienient. The laser pointer works well with good light. The main reason I love this remote is the timing feature. When there is not a visible clock in the room, I forget to check my watch and this feature is great. Another great feature is that the USB connector stores so easily into the back of the remote...love this and easy to find. The neoprene case is very nice as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to advance slides, use a pointer and black the screen if needed. Powerpoint is all I use so it fits my needs perfectly. It is well worth the slightly higher price than the other simple remotes I had purchased in the past.
One suggestions to Logitech: I would like to be able to set the time and then turn it on as the lecture starts. Currently you set the time and it begins to count down immediately. I got around this by setting it a few minutes prior to lecture start so not a big problem but it would be easier to set your lecture length and and then turn on the timer as you start your lecture.
Overall a great product that delivers what was expected in a easy to use, easy to install and easy to carry way.

The Logitech Cordless Presenter is an economical solution for presenters and lecturers who need to control and point to PowerPoint presentations. The Presenter works very well controlling the slides both forward and backward and the built laser pointer is very convenient to use with the same finger that controls the slides. The Presenter is tapered to nicely fit into your hand and has a soft no-slip surface which is easy to grip. The built-in countdown timer can be preset up to 10 hours in 5 minute intervals and silently vibrates to warn you when you have 5 minutes remaining and vibrates again when your preset time is expired. It uses two standard AAA batteries and has a battery life indicator and the Presenter can be turn off when stored to save battery. It has an audio volume control and few other features which I have not yet used. I have used the Presenter in rooms up to 30 feet from my laptop and from various angles around the room with absolutely no control problems. Another feature that I like is that you also can have your normal mouse working in parallel for clicking on hyperlinks or whatever you might want to select while at your computer. The Presenter's tiny USB compatible antenna plugs into your computer and it starts working. When not in use, the antenna slides into the body of the Presenter for really neat storage. The Presenter also comes with a soft storage poach with a Velcro fastner. Superb and classy design and I love it. Good job Logitech!!!Customer Review: The best one by far...

I've owned 3 other remote clickers, and this one is the best by far. For starters, it uses AAA batteries which are easy to procure and replace, whereas other models use those little quarter-size batteries that require a special trip to Radio Shack to buy. Plus, AAA's hold more juice to begin with, AND this clicker has an on/off switch, whereas others turn off on their own after time without use, meaning after they drain the battery! The transmitter on this clicker has plenty of power to reach the back of the computer/USB receiver stub from long distances, whereas others require the presenter to be close to the computer because they transmit a weak signal. The form factor of this one is perfect in your hand and the buttons are easily used, even by people unfamilar with it -- it's very intuitive. It has a very useful timer/clock that allows me to watch how much time I have left to finish my presentation -- it will also vibrate in my hand with 5 minutes to go, 2 minutes to go, and when my time is up. It allows me to add more time on the fly. This remote clicker is absolutely perfect in every way, and I can't tell you how many colleagues have purchased one after they tried mine. Don't waste your money on anything else -- they really got it right in all the human factors/UI aspects and all the engineering aspects when they made this.
