Customer Review: Great value as an entry level webcam

Bought two during president day sales for ten dollors each for my 8 and 9 years kids.
It's a low end model but works pretty well. The video quality is fair and the 640x480 video resolution is good for internet video phone purpose without too much demanding on the internet connection speed. I didn't try the photo taking function, but what's the point for using webcam to take photos?
This webcam has microphone and I think the microphone is a little bit weak in picking up your voice. You need to turn up the microphone sensitivity in the software.
This webcam does not have auto focus function, you need to adjust the focus. But, this is not a big deal as the distance from your seat to the webcam is not going to change that much during the video phone call.
This base that cliks onto your monitor is kind of weak. So, I tape it to kid's monitor. For notebook users, this may be a little bit annoying.
The software installation is very smooth.
All in all, with this sales price, this is absoulte a great value for the money. I plan to get couple more as gifts for my relatives....if the stores still have them at this sales price.
