I just bought this for my daughter as she begins college tomorrow with orientation. She took it out and just was amazed! She set it up within seconds. She did the little test. Then, we turned on the tv and she made notes as it spoke. As she did, I installed the Macintosh software from the web site. She then connected the device via USB and wow. It just downloaded the entire page just as she wrote it. She then typed a word and it searched it! She is still amazed and I am too. I can't wait to see if this is the dream device it potentially could be.Customer Review: Greatest thing since sliced bread

Got this for my ADHD son who's starting high school. Not only is it great for catching things said when he's daydreaming - but it's also great for verifying notes. (When I see something questionable that he has written down, he can review the audio and catch mistakes in his note taking.) The only suggestion I can add is that it's good to let a curious child use it at home for a few days before actually needing it in class so that the novelty wears off and they don't get in trouble for playing with their pen in class.Customer Review: Exceeded Expectations

While I am sure that there are a few improvements that could be made, this pen is unreal in its ability to do as it describes. It is reliable, picks up sound well, records my handwriting flawlessly, and I can even search my handwritten chicken scratch for words throughout my notes, and it works! That was a feature I did not realize existed at first. Overall, this is an amazing tool for keeping meeting notes when documenting project requests as a consultant.Customer Review: About the battery...

The first time I have used the Pulse, I have experienced a low battery after 2 hours of recording...
However, after a full recharge, I have just experienced today 6 successive recording sessions (equivalent to 4 hours of record) within a day : the battery indicator says half charge remainig !... So, It sounds better now on this crucial aspect !!
For the rest, it's very good... nothing to add.

I recently decided to return to school to finish my degree and decided to get this pen. I typically miss things when taking notes because I'll miss what the professor says while I'm writing. This solves that problem. This thing is simply amazing. It does much more than advertised as well with many apps (think of iPhone apps) like translators, dictionaries, games, and other tools.
