Bought this refurbished for ~1/2 of the new price listed by HP on their website and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Plugged it into my brand new desktop and it was picked up automatically.. no need to install any software. Had an immediate connection that is as strong or better than the wireless connection on any laptop I've had in my house. Great product in my opinion.Customer Review: Just works

Plugged in turned on and works well, so far. I bought this to speed up a wireless connection on a computer downstairs and about 30 feet from the router. It improved internet speed dramatically which was my hope. Previous adaptor was not "N" compatible. I have purchased several Link sys adapters, and this wireless N is the best one to date. You can stand it up on your desk for better reception or just plug directly into a USB port on the computer. The speed was noticably faster then G and the range for finding our home network signal was better as well. Just plug it in and you're ready to go. Works pretty good with computer in basement bedroom and router in main floor office. Not a perfect connection but haven't found a wireless connection that works perfectly in our scenario. Loved the super easy installation - no spending hours trying to get the device to talk to the network. Would recommend.
