Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cisco-Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network AdapterCustomer Review: Cisco-Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using two of these for 1.5 months now, one on a XP Pro and the other on a Win 7 64-bit installation without a single problem. These were very easy to install and configure(pretty much automatic). I connect to a LinkSys 610 wireless router that is two rooms away (about 22') with 5 GHz signal strength "good" I don't seem to have any access speed issues. The 2.4 GHz comes in as "very good".
I even get "low" signal from my next door neighbors router and "very low" from businesses down the street. I don't know what the access would be like on the neighbors or businesses because they are encrypted but the WUSB600N sees them. I recommend this product.
Customer Review: Works great using either 64-bit or 32-bit operating systems Summary: 5 Stars
I use this to take advantage of my new wireless-n network to upgrade older computers to wireless n - 2 laptops (1 XP, 1 Vista), 1 desktop (XP) - as well a new desktop running 64-bit Vista Home Premium. Set up was immediate and automatic on the 64-bit but take the advice of others installing on XP to avoid the CD install.
Easy to switch unit between the different computers. No drop off even when multiple computers running at the same time on the network from multiple locations. Plan to purchase another so I can take advantage of wireless-n traffic management and speed on more than one computer at a time.
Customer Review: Linksys WUSB600N worked perfectly for me. Summary: 5 Stars
Linksys WUSB600N worked perfectly for me.
Workstation: Windows Vista SP1 64bit
Location: 2nd Floor, Router (Linksys WRT54G v5) 1st floor.
1) Download latest driver from Linksys site. I never use the old drivers that comes in the box.
2) Plugged in the WUSB600N
3) Provided driver when Vista asked for it.
4) Open Connect To Network, added WPA2 Key
5) Started surfing the web :-)
I'm easily getting better performance out of this USB adapter then I got from my Card Bus Cisco AIR-CB21AG. Both are using 802.11g, not .11n
Customer Review: Doubled my connection bars Summary: 5 Stars
The unit came with a defective USB adapter. I called tech support and they were very helpful. They told me the error code "1719" meant the USB adapter hardware was bad. I took it back to where I bought it and got another one. That one was up and running in 5 minutes. I have windows Vista and the correct drivers for the adapter were on the enclosed CD. I have doubled the number of bars that my wireless conncection displays, from 1/3 of a bar to 3 full bars. The written instructions in the booklet were very easy to follow, as were the on-sreen instructions for installing the adapter.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this adapter for my old desktop PC to use with my D-Link DIR-655 wireless-N router. Installation was very easy. I disabled the Linksys wireless utility and I am using Windows to manage wireless connections. Once nice thing wabout this usb adapter is that is comes with an extension cord with dock, so you can place the adapter several feet higher than your computer which helps with connectivity. My router is positioned very high as well (8 feet or so). My computer is about 50-75 feet away from my router, between 1.5 walls and a microwave, and I was getting 4-5 bars, ~130+ Mbps.
