I recently moved into a new house that has three floors - 2 stories and a basement. I made the decision to go totally wireless with my home network (2 PCs and a laptop). This adapter went on my older PC in the basement and it works perfectly. A no hassle set up means I was up and running 5 minutes after opening the package. I have not experienced any connection problems, slowdowns, etc.
I highly recommend Linksys wireless products for your home networking needs.

Great product. This is my second purchase of this item and each has been easily installed and enabled. One is on a desktop computer and this recent purchase was for an older laptop. Highly recommended.
One side note: the initial shipment of the recent purchased failed after less than a day's use. The replacement cycle was very painless. I reported the problem, a replacement was shipped and, at my leisure, I returned the failed unit. Great service.

I bought this adapter after having tried another brand. However, as my home router was Linksys I suspected that a linksys USB wireless drive would work better and I was right. I did not even have to install the linksys software as the setup disc informed me that system already had a facility to access wireless networks, which I now use. With networks that I have already used I am connected very soon after booting up and having put in the adapter.Customer Review: hacked mac friendly!!

I purchased this device to work with my HP G60 that has Mac OS X on it (hacked mac doesn't recognize built in cards) and this device works perfectly. When I turn the computer on it automatically boots up the connect software. I've set up a profile, so the device automatically logs into my wireless network with the correct encryption type and pass key. When I turn my HP on this card just works. Every time. This is the second WUSB54GC that I have puchased. The first one was installed on a Windows XP machine about a year ago and it still works fine. The one I recently purchased installed on another XP computer with no problems. Windows XP found the new hardware and installed drivers for it. I did not even have to insert the installation CD. All I had to do was type in the password key for my wireless network and I was done.
