Of course, I'm not a guru or anything. I got this so I could move my desktop away from where the cable came into the house, into another room entirely, without moving the cable. I already had a little wireless network so I could work with my laptop anywhere in the house, so all it looked like I needed was this gadget. And it WAS all I needed. Linksys WUSB54G is very easy to install. It took my 7 years boy 5 minutes to do it. If your computer is running windows xp or 2000 and your adapter has latest firmware version 4, let your 7 years or older child do the installation for you, unless you have nothing else to do. I can not express enough how easy the installation of this product is. And it works perfect as described.Customer Review: Works great.

I bought this wireless adapter to connect a pc in my office. Works great and keeps connected all day. Originally i bought the compact linksys adapter but was disappointed with the signal strength. I think this model is better because it has an external antenna as apposed to the internal antenna on the compact model. I am very pleased with this purchase. This wireless adaptor is very small and takes up very little space. Just plug it in, install the software, and its up an running. It is hassle free, installation is very easy and very reliable performance. I was concerned when I first purchased it because of it's size, but as the old saying goes, size can fool you. I bought this to use for my laptop, which has a horrible internal wireless LAN adapter, and it's great!
It's incredibly light, not too big, gives me excellent signal around my house, and is a snap to install.
I didn't face any problems that other reviewers mentioned, and best of all, I got it for only 15 bucks.
Can't really go wrong with it.
