I travel a lot for a living and this router has worked wonderfully. I have owned it since it first came out. I had a lot of problems getting it set up initially but once I got it, it has worked flawlessly since. I have been in a meeting room with only one Ethernet cable and plugged it into the router, gave the access code to three others and in minutes, we were all hooked up to the system.
It's great in the hotel room as well. I hook it up to the Ethernet cable and then have free roaming access with my computer throughout the room. I have never had any poor range issues. I also use a Slingbox at home with Slingplayer on my computer and listen to my home news while taking a shower in a distant hotel room. I think this is a great little router just made for traveling.

Linksys/Cisco just keeps making them better and better. This has now become my favorite internet travel companion. The size is perfect, it comes with a nice zippered travel pouch and the built-in power supply prevents cable-tangle. Set-up is about as easy as it can get; just plug it in and attach the hotel/office ethernet cable. One advanced feature which is really cool is that it can also connect to a WIRELESS network at the hotel and still operate as a router with it's own subnet. This allows everyone in your party to share what looks like a single connection to the hotel's ISP. Really nice for travel to Europe or other places where a connection is expensive. It supports international power so all you need overseas is just a simple connector, not a transformer.Customer Review: Just What I Needed!

This router works flawlessly for what I need. I have used it with a wired WAN connection and a wireless one (contrary to another review which claimed this feature did not work), although I did not try it on a secured (WEP/WPA) wireless access point.
I used the wired LAN connection to connect to my VOIP box (which I then hooked up to a two-line wireless phone) and so was able to easily take both home-office phone numbers on the road. Then, with the notebook talking wirelessly (and securely), it was very nice to work (and answer the phone) sitting by the hotel pool! I think my clients were a little jealous, though ;-)
It is very compact and very easy to set up.

This is an excellent travel router, extremely reasonably priced (at least when I bought it), with a great form factor, and at least one unique capability.
This device is no bigger than the Apple Airport Extreme travel router, but it's much cheaper. What makes it special is that it can bridge wireless networks. The source can not be encrypted. But, most hotels that charge for wireless access don't encrypt the stream, they just force you to pay on a sign-up screen. This device allows multiple laptops in your room to share the one paid-for wireless stream.
Highly recommended.

Excellent design, setup is the same as the other Linksys routers. We have been using Linksys products for over 5 years (routers, wi-fi cards, range expanders, etc) on 3 different continents without problems of interferences, compatibility or quality, which is not the case of the Netgear products we have tried. The travel router is small, light, well designed, it is compatible with 110 and 220 volts, it supports the usual wi-fi security (WEP, WPA, etc), the range is more than enough for a large hotel suite, and it can be used as an additional range expander when at home. Excellent product.
