I bought this as part of a transition from a CAT 5 hard wired home network to a wireless network. Installed in a few minutes (took longer to open the computer case than install the card) on my son's Gateway using Vista operating system. Easy install and immediate recognition of device. Great reception with no issues to date (about a month). Price was significantly less than any of the local electronics chains (Best Buy, Circuit City). Shipping was fast and, as always with Amazon, no worries.Customer Review: Repeat buyer.

This is my second order, needless to say, I am very pleased with the product and the service, both top notch. I followed the directions for the install and the connection was made to my network without a flaw. The price of the wireless PCI card is almost as cheap as cables cost, but much neater. I now have two remote PCs connected to my home network. I would recommend this company for anyone who wants good prices and excellent service.

This Linksys WMP54GS Wireless-G PCI Card w/ SpeedBooster has changed my life! I have the Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster to accompany this beast. I am about a good 25 feet away with a 125.0 Mbps and Excellent Signal strength. I feel like I'm plugged in with a wire (I surf that nicely). I cannot offer a higher recommendation! To put it simply....it is the Hotness!!!

A Linksys WRT54GS wireless router is used with the "master" computer, a Dell Precision Workstation, and this Linksys PCI card is used within an older Pentium III computer running Windows 2000. I was expecting a few problems with the installation. Nevertheless, everything worked beautifully, and I am able to take full advantage of my Roadrunner broadband with no obvious speed loss. I too read the reviews saying this was impossible with XP. I run XP Pro, but I have a Linksys wireless router I'm very happy with, so I bought it anyway. And those reviews were completely wrong. This was the easiest installation I've every done. Pop in the card, turn on the computer, stick in the CD. That is it! It connected to my wireless router instantly and I was on the internet.
